Phenomenal bar and farm to table experience
Jun 2015 • Friends
To start, our group was welcomed into the restaurant with a staff of gracious individuals. Jason, our bartender and mixologist extraordinaire, could not be stumped with any drink order. I wanted a play on a French 75 and he made me a French Riviera with a botanical gin, orange bitters & champagne base-absolutely phenomenal. Gin selection was broad. My husband ordered a New York sour with four roses bourbon and Cabernet with egg white and drizzle of bitters. Fabulous!
Food: a plethora of fresh, raw veggies with a dip of baba ghanoush made from grilled/eggplant, truffle oil. Mason jar of crab chowder, octopus potato salad in terragon aioli. Fava bean hush puppies, a sucking pig from a local farm served with salsa verde, many side dishes of local and self grown grilled squash, peppers, fennel bulb, purlsane, cornbread and more.
Dessert: fresh made donuts with sauce and coffee. To die for!!

Roof top dining

Good food , great service , nice views of the river and park below.
Only reason it's not 5 stars is slightly high priced. I will eat there again.

The Thomas exceeds expectations

Coming in from the outside into this premier fun and professionally run eatery and bar one finds an ease to enjoy one of Napa's best places to entertain guests, as well if your are alone. The managers are ever present and make this place run like a well oiled machine. Skills and knowledge comes with the service and the food and cocktails are divine. A must go to while in Napa!

Another nice meal
Feb 2015 • Couples
I have been to The Thomas restaurant multiple times, most recently for Valentine's Day breakfast & have always had a positive experience. Tasty food, with average Napa prices & pleasant customer service. On warm days/nights the ambiance/views from the open 3rd floor are great.

The Thomas is a great place to share a meal with friends or come as a group after wine tasting in the valley. Excellent food paired with an attentive staff makes this restaurant a return visit.

Nice bar, good food
I've eaten in the restaurant, had brunch on the terrace and drinks and bites in the bar. The food is always good (maybe not the cheapest) and the cocktails well made. The BLAT is awesome both for brunch and as a bar bite. Happy hour in the bar is pretty good to for a late afternoon snack.

Staff is generally attentive and when they made a mistake in our order once both the waiter and the manager apologized and gave a discount on the bill.

As a local, I will definitely keep stopping in. Especially during the summer when the rooftop is open!

Another unique dining spot in Napa
This was where we ate our second night in Napa. My dad said the hamburger was one of the best he'd ever had (he had it with egg...messy, but recommended)!

The decor in the upstairs dining room is very cool; all whitewashed with vintage-style linens hanging on the wall.

This restaurant is perhaps slightly overpriced, but fair overall. I would live to be able to return in the future to enjoy a specialty drink on the upstairs roof patio (preferably at night).

Oh...and I'd strongly suggest trying the donuts for dessert - delicious!

Better local values
Started with truffled portobello mushroom mouse and grilled chorizo appetizers which were extremely tasty and we'll presented. We knew going in that the corkage of $25 would be high, but almost swallowed my tongue when charged $48.60 corkage because I brought a 1.5 L bottle. Ridiculous, still only one cork and 4 glasses. They comp the corkage if you buy one of their bottles from a somewhat overpriced wine list. A truly gourmet burger for $16 is pushed to $20 when you add egg and cheese. Pork chop was tasty and we'll presented with goat cheese polenta apples and red cabbage but was priced like a steak @ $28. Nice ambience and friendly service was good with no shortage of staff. We skipped desert and walked a block for gelato on the river front. All in all a good dining experience that I rated a little lower for value.
