Driver did not stick to the outlined instructions that were highlighted on the confirmation of our wedding plans. This delayed our event by an hour and NVTT didn’t try to rectify situation, unresponsive for over the 2.5 weeks following the event where I’ve reached out multiple times. NVTT instead charged us for overtime, that was essentially caused by their own driver. We’ve incurred numerous fees from other vendors too due to the delays their driver caused.

During the event, we requested that the driver be ready by 9:30 for pickup. At the requested time the driver was no where to be seen and after we went looking for him we discovered the driver was asleep in the vehicle.

Will not be working with this company again.

Wil was awesome! He communicated well and made sure I was up to date as his whereabouts in the pickup area at the San Francisco airport, which can be overwhelming when traveling to a new place. He was very professional and we had great conversations about the area. The car was clean and I didn’t worry about feeling unsafe because of germs.

Bonus he’s very knowledgeable about the local food and wine in the Napa Valley. I look forward to booking another event with Wil and the NVTT team.

A big shoutout to Sophie and Mike from Napa Valley Tours & Transportation! I can't thank you enough for putting together such a fantastic experience on such short notice, especially on a busy weekend. Your willingness to go the extra mile truly made all the difference.

Our driver was an absolute gem! We couldn't have asked for anyone better. Everything went off without a hitch, and JC went above and beyond to ensure our group had a memorable time.

I'll definitely be spreading the word about Napa Valley Tours & Transportation to all my friends and business partners. And when I decide to experience the Wine Country again, you can bet it'll be with your team.

Punctual and professional car service from sacremento airport to Napa valley and return. My driver was friendly and provided us a safe and efficient ride. Made the start and end of our trip even more relaxing. Would definitely recommend!

Michelle our driver was fantastic ! She drove our Total Wine Group around most of the week. She always had air on for us before we boarded so bud was cool, she had cold water available. She always has a great attitude, thank you, Michelle !

SERIOUSLY!! What "reputable" business calls the day before Prom to cancel your limo bus reservation??? NAPA VALLEY TOURS & TRANSPORTATION does, that's who!!! Left us pissed and our girl in tears! Yes! you read that right! They called us the day before prom to cancel our reservation because they didn't have a driver....we made these reservations a month ago. Our daughter gathered 25 Seniors looking forward to heading to Prom on a Limo Party Bus.

Thank you to NAPA VALLEY WINE COUNTRY TOURS to the rescue! Bigger, better bus at a better price!

WARNING: Stay clear of Napa Valley Tours & Transportation! We booked with them once and they messed it up, thought we'd give them a second chance....NOPE...Worst mistake ever!

Thank you for posting your perspective about this unfortunate incident. We respectfully differ with your assessment of our company and what occurred, and wish to share “the rest of the story” with readers. We apologize for your and your daughter’s disappointment. However as discussed with you in person previously, what caused the cancellation was our need to comply with and obey California law. Since the booking was for a school event for more than a certain number of passengers, the driver must – by California Law - possess what is called “School Pupil Activity Bus” ( SPAB) certification. Unfortunately, our company employs a limited number of drivers who are SPAB certified, however we only book a few SPAB events annually and this situation has never occurred in our 17 year history. The day before the event, we learned that the only SPAB certified driver on our roster was unable to drive for the event. At first we offered to provide multiple high end vehicles at the same price as the one vehicle, which represented a significant discount. You did not like this alternative. Therefore, in order to keep the party in one vehicle, we reached out to an alternate vendor who we knew was reliable and negotiated a lower price, and they upgraded to a higher quality vehicle on your behalf. This was not an arbitrary gesture, we were highly motivated and compelled to make this a smooth and enjoyable transition for you and your daughter. I’d like to respond to your additional comment. Your first booking with our company a few weeks earlier was a request for a stretch limousine. We did not have one available. We actually upgraded your vehicle to a more expensive high end Mercedes Sprinter at no additional cost. Thank you for your understanding.

We went to Napa this May to celebrate my father's 70th birthday, and we had a lovely time. That said, I am NOT thrilled with this company and would not recommend them to anyone who doesn't appreciate a hard sell. Our driver was:

1. Late to the airport because she got lost in San Fran and hit another car (!!!).

2. Never very keen on helping us with our bags -- plus didn't come to the baggage claim to pick us up. We had to call her ourselves, which is not what we paid for.

3. ALL ABOUT THE HARD SELL. My parents go to Napa often, although this was our first time. They're older now, so we wanted to keep the trip leisurely and give them plenty of time to rest (my husband and I are also pretty low-key because we both have very demanding jobs). My mom had some winery appointments and kept the schedule deliberately open so that my father would have time to rest. We communicated this to our driver UP-FRONT, but she really either didn't get it or didn't care. The entire time we were in the car, she pushed us to go to various places where her friends work, other wineries not on our schedule -- which, I understand this is a referral business and we took her up on some lunch spots, but NO means NO. She also tried to sell us skincare, supplements, etc.-- things totally unrelated to our purpose for being there.

3. We invited her to join us on our wine tours and also for lunch -- as we generally do. My family is very open and gregarious and we love to share. That said, rather than coming along and enjoying herself, she hardcore networked the whole time, talked over us, tried to sell her husband's business ventures to every single wine host, etc. It was really embarrassing because some of these winery owners are my parents' personal friends, and they would never be so presumptuous.

4. She never knew where she was going -- which, partially not her fault because their cars don't have GPS (which could be useful and the company should consider given their business) but she was always talking on her phone or pre-calling for directions while we waited in the car. Then, she had the audacity to charge us for over-time when we would have been right on time if she didn't constantly stop, get lost, and call people.

We had a lovely time in Napa, but we really won't be using this company again. It's too hard to relax when someone's always pushing their business, acting unprofessional, etc. There are much better drivers out there.

Firstly, please accept our sincere and heartfelt apologies for the challenges and disappointment you and your family experienced on this trip. We agree with your assessment, and this is why the driver was let go during her first two months of employment, actually before your posting. We take pride in the rigorous training that our new chauffeurs must undergo before they are allowed to host our guests. Rarely, a new driver does not follow expected protocol or etiquette training. The only way that we would learn of this person falling short of expectation is when guests bring it to our attention. When given this opportunity to make things right, we always do so. All of our drivers are expected to exercise safe driving practices. Moreover, they must know where they are going and “pre-tip” their runs, and they are expected to arrive at their pickup location 15 minutes ahead of time. They should not be talking on the phone while driving, and if they must do so it has to be "hands free.". While we know some of our guests thoughtfully invite their driver to dine with them, we expect the invitation to be gracefully declined. We also insist that our drivers are good shepherds and stewards, but always remain intuitive, and respectful of our guests needs. They are all prohibited from marketing to our guests, especially when it suggests personal gain. We sincerely appreciate your honest posting. We would not want you to judge our company based on this experience alone. Please let us know when you return to the Napa Valley with a transportation need. We would appreciate the opportunity to change your impression.

We used Napa Valley Tours & Transportation for our son's wedding in May 2015. The initial meetings were great, with conversations about the possibilities of how everything would work. This was before invitations and final decisions but we were assured it was just "scoping". After we had a better sense of numbers we were told our contact was leaving. We unsuccessfully tried to reach our new contact. Many, many calls later and messages we were told the new contact had left and we had another new person. After starting over we again experienced no response. Finally when we did reach The new person, they had no idea of our event and we were closing in the date. After requesting several times, we were sent a schedule that was totally wrong and tried to get it fixed but again no return calls and after many attempts, once again a new person. Finally as we approached the wedding we called and demanded to speak to someone. Then we were referred to a new individual and since we were 7 to 10 days away she agreed to step in. We spent hours with her on the phone and several document exchanges. When we arrived in Napa the week of the wedding we met in person and reviewed the schedule. At that time she informed us we had several "late cancellations" and we would absorb ~$8,000 in fees for vehicles not needed. We were shocked. They basically used the scoping conversation as a basis for reserving vehicles, then never went into detail and all the turnover added to the confusion. Their position was it was our problem not theirs and basically they wanted to be paid even though they at least contributed to the error. I asked them to consider a balanced approach where we each took some cost but their approach was to force us to use vehicles that were expensive and underutilized and then still charge us for others not used. They waved 1 unused bus but would not discuss any other settlement.
Of course no one was available to discuss and we were stuck with no time left. We ended up using vehicle we did not need to at least reduce the exposure but it was a total waste of money. I asked to see or speak to the owner but no one would allow that.
In the end we managed to handle everyone and it was as requested. However they still charged us ~$2,000 in "late cancellation" fees including a $150.00 charge to refuel the vehicles they never used. They took no ownership for the constant confusion and constant turnover.
I read their previous negative reviews. Their obvious professionally done response to smooth over the issues and make sure they sounded unjustly reviewed were instructive. I have written dozen of reviews on this site and believe they show consistent balance and objective fact based comments. This is no different.
My net of NVTT is they did a decent job on a single ride. But to do a large and complicated event, I recommend you be very cautious. They have excessive fees, no one takes ownership and their turnover is a serious concern. The owner or operator is not available and they consider you a one time customer so they have zero concern over charging ( example, the refueling of not used vehicles) and zero interest in resolving their errors. Better to charge you and then stone wall.
It was the worst vendor and experience of a great day.

We value Tripadvisor as a means to express positive and negative experiences. We also appreciate the opportunity to address any concerns and help offer background to explain the perspective of our company. We apologize for our delayed posting.. Firstly, with regard to not being able to reach ownership in the time immediately after your experience with NVTT, we trust it’s understandable that we are a sole proprietorship. During much of June we were spending treasured time with our young children in a family vacation. Upon our return, an extensive assessment of the details surrounding your experience with our company was conducted. One of many key findings was that there were multiple points of contact in your party, rather than the suggested, clearly identified, primary contact. This apparently led to communication breakdowns within your group. Despite changes in our Wedding Team during the time from your initial communication and the wedding weekend, all our high standards of communication and quality control were followed. Unfortunately, despite your party being told that deposits were non-refundable and that you needed to be certain of your requirements before contracting for our services, you had extensive changes requested late in the process. These changes were made after NVTT turned away other potential clients on one of the busiest weekends of the year. We performed a cost analysis comparing what was originally booked and what your final bill reflected, which determined that we made concessions in your favor in excess of $4,000, crediting the total amount for 2 Mini Coaches and a Sedan. Vendors for wedding parties plan according to the commitments made by clients and cannot commit to making ongoing changes as the wedding RSVPs evolve, especially when we have declined others seeking our business for the same time period. We always regret any negative customer experience, but we are confident that everyone on the NVTT team managed your business professionally and in keeping with your contracted plan. This was our second time using NVTT for a day of wine tasting in Sonoma and/or Napa. Both times have been fantastic and I highly recommend them. Our driver on this occasion was Rob. He was awesome. Was totally prepared, easy to get along with, and communicated very well. I will definitely use him (and this company) again next year.

I’ve used NVTT as my tour and limo provider for more than 12 years in Napa and surrounding wine country venues. Their people specialize in EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER CARE! They are punctual, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Their equipment is modern, comfortable, clean and dependable. The drivers are careful, courteous and patient! They are THE BEST in Napa Valley.
