We are a small family-owned luxury wine brand located in the heart of the Napa Valley. Our tasting room is located just a few minutes from downtown Napa at 1075 Atlas Peak Rd. The centerpiece of the property is a 19th Century French-style chateau which sits on two acres located at the base of Atlas Peak Road. Whetstone Estate's location is just minutes from world-class hotels and restaurants, a plethora of shopping, luxury golf courses, and expansive bike trails. Originally built by Hamden W. McIntyre, an expert in gravity-flow winery design, Whetstone Estate was part of the Hedgeside Winery. McIntyre designed several local gravity-flow wineries including Eschol (now Trefethen), the Seneca Ewer (now Beaulieu), Greystone, and Inglenook (now Rubicon). In 1885 construction was complete of the "Hedgeside" winery and co-located distillery now used as the Whetstone Wine Cellars Tasting Salon. Whether enjoying our Sonoma Coast or Russian River Valley Pinot Noirs, Carneros Chardonnay, cult favorite Russian River Valley Viognier, or Napa Valley Syrah, we relish the opportunity to indulge your Wine Country experience. The quality of our wines paired with the gorgeous Chateau setting, relaxed atmosphere, and attention to detail make for a truly unique Napa Valley experience.

Addie walked us through a few hours of really good wine! The old stone house and fireplace are unique and very inviting. We enjoyed our wine tasting with Ace, the awesome golden retriever or yellow lab that made everyone feel at home. Loved this place!
