If you are looking for a way to experience the Napa/Sonoma area wine country or a wine-tasting tour without having to: worry about the planning, worry about the logistics, worry about driving, worry about where to eat, or just worry if you are going to have a good time, then you need to pack those worries away and hire Barry Smith of Why Spit. We were so fortunate to come across his company to help us with our trip. He spent four whole days with us picking us up at our hotel, chauffeuring us to a specific area each day to explore boutique wineries, some we didn't even know existed. He knew how to accurately organize our schedule so that we could enjoy several tastings, some sight-seeing, as well as lovely lunches each day in Napa, Sonoma, Calistoga, and Healdsburg. Barry would then transport us to where we finished our days with delightful dinners at some of the area's finest restaurants. He was always ready and waiting for us at our hotel in the mornings, and when our tour was over, he took great care of our wine purchases and had them packaged up and sent to us, relieving us of that major burden. Barry had also arranged for our transportation to and from San Francisco airport with a friendly driver named Mike, making this wine country trip a totally drive-free, hassle-free, awesome and memorable event for my husband and me. This is the best (and only) way to do a wine country adventure. P.S. You'll also want to ask Barry to take you to his wife Kerry's eclectic art gallery where she showcases her talents in many beautiful watercolor paintings, along with several other artists' works - featuring scenes of wine country - the ones that will stay in your mind forever!

Barry is simply a gem of a human. He picked us up in his spacious and clean Mercedes, immediately served us champagne, and then drove us around during two two full days of activities that he set up for us including some incredible private wine tastings, time shopping, lunches and got to see basically all of Napa in two days as he educated us on everything under the Napa sun. Outside of curating the perfect experience and perfect days for us to learn about and explore Napa, Barry is an incredible person that you will miss upon saying goodbye. My girlfriend and I spent two days with Barry but it feels like a lifetime. There is no single person better to let take you around Napa than him.

What a fantastic experience from start to finish in using the Why Spit car service! From the planning stage, where Barry was very helpful, detailed and fast to respond, to the actual day of our service, with Kerry behind the wheel and making sure our day was very special. She took pictures for us throughout the day, and was thoughtful as to making the day special. Lunch at Oakville Grocers was easily coordinated by Barry and Kerry, and after they learned it was a milestone birthday for me, delivered a special gift to our hotel. My husband and I went to Napa just for a fun get-away. We didn’t have a specific agenda, so when we contacted Barry, the only criteria we provided was that we would like lunch! We wound up being able to visit a vineyard AS they were harvesting. We talked to a winemaker as she was tasting grapes to see if they were ready. We had 4 amazing tastings that were very personalized and time for a little shopping. And yes, we had lunch! Barry went above and beyond and next time we are in Napa we will definitely be giving him a call! I would absolutely recommend his service to anyone. He will not disappoint!
