Barry was by far the best part of our experience in Napa. He created the perfect itinerary, made great conversation, thought through every little detail to make our trip perfect, and really made us feel like we were friends for years. Highly recommending Barry tor everyone and anyone traveling to Napa!

This wasn't our first time in Napa, but our first time with Barry as our driver. We had conversations early about the wineries we wanted to visit, as we had our list already made. He was able to get in touch with each one to schedule our tastings and was able to pull some strings to get us into a place that was already booked. Everything was executed as planned. He was early both of our days for pickup and met us in our driveway with sparkling wine to start the day. While driving he provided just enough "fun facts" to keep the travel time between wineries interesting, but not overwhelming. He was super easy to talk with regarding our opinions and experiences after each winery. He really did everything perfectly. He even went above and beyond to do some research to find another winery we had heard about, and to buy my wife a replacement water bottle after we thought we had lost it (he definitely won her heart).

Barry is the best guide! Once again I was able to just call him and within hours he had a beautiful day of tastings set up for our trip to Napa. Barry does an amazing job of findings wineries with fantastic hosts, beautiful settings, and exceptional wines. He did a great job of setting up a day of private tastings that made for a very special day. This is the second time we’ve toured with Barry and I can’t recommend him highly enough- he’s amazing!

We absolutely love Barry. This is our second tour with Why Spit and it would have been third had we not done such a last minute trip a few years ago. Our first trip out to Napa was in 2016 when we had first started dating. Needless to say we enjoyed our tour so much that when we got married and took our honeymoon this year in 2022, we had to work in another tour with Barry. We received a hand written card congratulating us on our nuptials with champagne to start the tour and then we went to Dearborn, Expressions / Prime Solum, ElevenEleven, Azure and Caldwell. Barry knew that we prefer wineries that are less commercial, less crowded, with a wonderful story. He also provided wonderful pictures from the day - we are not typically people who take a lot of pictures (or any on this particular day) so we really appreciated the photos that were sent over afterward. We had such an amazing time and we know that we will certainly be back again!

Spent a day with Barry visiting multiple wineries in the area and my family and I have nothing but great things to say about the day. Barry went above and beyond in his research, finding the perfect vineyards with specific tie ins to the family that no one else would think to do. He took our vague description of interests and managed to make a spectacular itinerary out of it, taking us to wineries big and small and explaining why he selected each one. From Silver Oak to Sinegal we saw everything we'd wanted to see and more, and lunch at Gotts was a pretty great bonus. We went for a football game (ND vs Stanford) and the fact that 8 months later I am still eager to write a review on Barry's behalf should say it all. We look forward to our next trip to Sonoma and planning another great day with Barry.

Barry offered several services for our travel to CA (booked airport transfers and one day of winery touring) but he went above and beyond to make sure we were happy and comfortable even when we weren't with him. This ranged from providing champagne (or water when needed), to making a reservation at a winery for us on a day he was NOT providing services, to lending my husband his personal belt from home when we realized he'd left his at home. All of this in addition to curating an incredible itinerary (4 wineries plus a picnic lunch) AND giving us the chance to peruse a quaint little gallery (took home beautiful art from here). OH and he SHIPPED our wine to us after we left so we didn't have to make those arrangements on our own while there.
I typically do not post reviews immediately - I wait to see what was the most memorable part. For Barry and WhySpit, it was all the parts. I have already passed his name out several times and should we end up in Napa again, he will be on the must-call list. Thank you, Barry. :)

My first trip to Napa was phenomenal and part of that was due to Barry’s service. Barry was attentive to my group’s requests from the planning stage and offered his recommendations based on his incredible knowledge of the Napa region. He didn’t only drive us to our destinations; his service of offering to take photos and keeping our schedule on track added to the day’s enjoyment. I can’t wait to return and use Barry again! A A+ all around!

Highly recommend a day with Barry as your guide when visiting the Napa valley. He is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and will make your day really fun. I love how easy he makes it to have a wonderful day experiencing the great wineries in the valley. After our first trip in 2020, we trusted him entirely to pick places he thought we would enjoy and he hit it out of the park. Not only did we visit beautiful wineries and drink fantastic wines (and have a great lunch!), but we got to meet amazing people along the way. This was our second trip with him and we can't wait to do it again!

Barry and Kerry are true pros. This is our second time using their services and it most certainly will not be the last. They take the time to fully understand the group and develop a game plan that maximizes the entire experience from start to finish. What’s equally impressive is their connections and relationships that they have built throughout wine country. You can tell the respect they have created by the reception their clients receive at each and every stop along the way.

Barry came highly recommended by two of my colleagues and did not disappoint! He provided top notch service from start to finish and was great company during the rides. He truly went above and beyond to enhance the experience and handled all the logistics so we could just simply enjoy Napa with no worries or stress, as it is meant to be. Lastly, he knows the best places to visit Napa and was a great resource / partner when planning out our itinerary. It was an amazing trip. I would highly recommend Barry and will be using him for future Napa trips to come!

Hi, I am planning a trip with private wine tastings and need transportation. The date will be either 5/28 or 5/29, we plan on two to three tastings and a lunch stop, there are six of us total. Can you please provide pricing and what it includes and does not include? Thank you, Kimber

Agreed!! Call Barry direct. He will arrange pick up, tours, lunch stop or bringing you lunch at the winery. He is very knowledgable about that whole area!!
