First time to Napa and we started out with Andretti. Carrie was wonderful, very knowledgeable. Gentleman also was wonderful (i'm sorry, forgot his name). Knew their wines and history. Loved that we could pick out our own wines for tasting. Gorgeous setting, very relaxed, actually spent 2-1/2 hours here just kicking back and taking in the scenery. Highly recommend!

My husband and I visited Andretti today for the first time. We had a WONDERFUL experience. We had our 4 month old with us. First outing post her birth because of Covid. Karie was our Wine Educator, and boy did we get a lesson! Karie was extremely knowledgeable about each of the wines but so much deeper than that. We learned about Wine “DNA”, unique soil by region, and much more. Great music playing all day, Stunning views, and delicious wines all around! Jeffery was also awesome. He was serving other tables but made it a point to check in on us. The entire staff did a great job keeping the place clean and safe during the pandemic. Needless to say, we will be back, since we signed up as members!!

I went to sample the Blanco wines during an off season. What a fabulous time as I was the only one there and got a great education about the wines. I also was free to stroll the grounds with my current tasting selection in hand. Smaller winery but the attention I got was phenomenal. I joined the wine club. Will be back

This was our 3rd trip to Napa. we scheduled the stroll through the vineyard tour that included a picnic lunch that we needed to pre-order. The cost was $150.00, which is high, but we decided that based on the food we were selecting it would be worth it.

My husband ordered the grilled flat iron steak sandwich. With horseradish aioli, tomatoe pesto and greens on ciabatta- what he RECEIVED was a roast beef deli meat sub sandwich with mayo and lettuce on a sub bun similar to a sandwich from Subway. It was still in the wrapped paper from the sub shop they purchased it from. I ordered the grilled chicken, goat cheese, roasted bell peppers and arugula on ciabatta. What I RECEIVED was a turkey (yes turkey) deli meat sub sandwich with mayo. I went to search for the manager who wasn't much help but said he would talk to Christine the events person. Christine came to see us and asked what the problem was. I informed her that this isn't what we ordered and I told her that I wouldn't pay $150 for subs I could get for $10 at a sub store. She agreed it wasn't what we ordered and went on to say that they lost their cook. I asked why they didn't let us know because there are many other places we could have had an amazing lunch at in Napa. She didn't have an answer. Her response was very rudely "welcome to the valley, the lunch you're having cost $50/person." When I told Christine that I was going to write this up on TripAdvisor she then, and only then offered to drop the price to $80.

They would do NOTHING else. Even though they served us food that we DID NOT order they still wanted $80. We paid and left.

Please don't waste your time here. There are much better winery's like O'Brien estates, Pride Mountain, Judd Hill, Black Stallion and even Del Dotto. I honestly can't believe the Andretti family would want their name associated with such an awful experience!

A personal message to Christine - please serve people the food they order. Not something that a teenager made at some grocery store! And when a customer complains and has LEGITIMATE concerns about the false advertising that you made on your website, listen to them and try to make it right. $80 was NOT the right thing to do.

Again this was my 3rd trip to Napa. Please don't waste your time.

We went to the Andretti dinner experience which was $90 a person on October 2, 2015.

I was looking so forward to this dinner because I am Italian and lived in Indianapolis for many years watching Mario and Michael compete in the Indianapolis 500!

We were first met by Eva in the Andretti store and was given a small glass of Sauvignon Blanc. We then proceeded into the guest house. There was no type of introduction nor a toast (In the Italian tradition, The toast is always made at a family gathering). We were given our salad which was very over ripe tomatoes with burrata. The tomatoes should've been put in a tomato sauce and not served b/c they were mushy.

We were then given a small glass of Pinot Noir. The visiting chef then presented us with roasted chicken and polenta which was good. In the middle of our entrée we received another small glass of red wine and was put into the glass that we were already using even though there was a clean glass on the table. We never knew what the 3rd glass of wine was!

We were then presented with our dessert which was tiramisu which was good also. After sitting for several minutes without our hostess saying anything to us. We said good night to the fellow guests and left. We walked back to our cars having to use our flashlights on our phones because the back and the parking lot were too dark.

This has to be the worst dining experience we've ever had and the hostess/representative was quiet and spent most of her time talking with the chef (and assistant) instead of talking with the guests. You could tell that the hostess didn't want to be there and all of the guests were displeased. At least the chef made an announcement and thanked us for coming along with plugging his own restaurant down the street.

It was not worth $90 a person to have 3 small glasses of wine, a tomato/burrata salad that shouldn't have been served, a main dish and dessert! Mario wouldn't have been proud and it's certainly not the Italian way!

I emailed the Andretti winery and have not heard a response. Napa Valley is filled with many beautiful restaurants and wineries and we are very discouraged with the Andretti winery!
Ciao

This winery is overpriced for what you get. We paid $35 a person to tour the grounds which are not very large at all. The bartender there was a man and he was rather rude. The bartender was named Jim. He asked us where we were from and when we told him he proceeded to put down our hometown sports teams. He was very arrogant and thought he was funny which he wasn't. He was also rude to the female bartenders that were working with him which made it awkward for the customers. We left unpleased with the experience.

Admittedly, The Andretti Vineyard is situated on a truly beautiful estate that is located in the heart of what is perhaps California's most gorgeous region. Walking up to the main entrance made me long for Siena and all things Tuscan.

However, walking IN the door was a disappointment if not offensive.

A word of caution: beware of servers who hand you a full bottle of wine and tell you "It's yours to enjoy as you walk around.' We had not ordered anything or determined that we were at all interested in a paid tasting. DO NOT buy into the lie if she tells you, "Don't worry about over indulging and drinking too much because the local police don't enforce driving under the influence laws for tourists as it would hurt tourism." Locals assured us that if you are caught driving under the influence not only will you be hauled off to jail, they will vacuum from your wallet most of the money you hoped to spend on trinkets and shipping wine home. If you really want to drink, get a limousine from your hotel.

Sadly, our hyper-active welcoming committee of one actually did and said exactly this. The sales pitch was far too stong for this trio that was off on a relaxing adventure; we all agreed that it was more appropriate to those disembodied voices we have all heard whose job it is to call out over a PA system, "Attention K Mart shoppers..."

Our incredulity and inclination to run was reinforced by her assertion that the gallery was spectacular, and that this week’s exhibit featured a famous local artist who was celebrated for painting in the French technique of 'Giscle'. Embarrassed for her lack of knowledge, with empty glasses in hand we left the bottle on the counter and we went to see what she was talking about. It was exactly what we anticipated; manipulated, over amped photographs of the vineyard that were reprinted on canvas.

Taking this opportunity to make our escape, we left our glasses on a table and headed north wishing we’d never removed our sunglasses.

Do not believe that this is a quality wine. For several miles then, and throughout the day we wondered aloud what the price of a ‘star’ might be in the area's guide book that gave it one. If this vineyard ever had a star, a) it has lost its luster or b) has burned out completely.

Andretti Winery
The Andretti Winery is a quaint style winery based on the Italian villas. The property is marked with two small walls that state Andretti Winery. It’s a short drive down the driveway before you need to turn right (road course) into a very small parking area. There is a courtyard with a nice fountain in the center. You enter the tasting room through a carriage door. The tasting room is rather small and lined with Andretti Winery clothing. The counter is lined with older gentlemen that appear to be almost Andretti family members. The tasting cost is $15 but you can find 2 for 1 coupons. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the wine they were pouring. The cost of the wines is above average.

The location is quiet and very pretty.

Worst customer service ever - I attempted to order $300 of wine to be shipped. I kept being told to wait for a form. The employees kept ringing up others for minimal purchases as I waited. I asked for an order form four times. 30 minutes later- bus tour was leaving and I had no wine 😞
Poor business model- Mario may have been fast, but the winery was slow, inattentive and rude. #whinebutnowine

Nicole was such a nice host. She explained the wines we sampled and let us know what love of viniculture can be like. Nice to wander the grounds and relax overlooking the vineyard.
