Welcome to Squire Livery! We are an EXPERIENCE DRIVEN Company that takes you back to a Napa 30 years ago! If you’re planning your special trip to Napa and Sonoma. It’s an important getaway, and you want it—no need it—to be both easy and luxurious... ; you want to be with someone who knows the valley: its wines, its roads, its rhythm… But, you aren’t the “canned tour” type; no cheap box lunch and 45-seat-bus for you. This isn’t a “Girls Gone Wild” stretch-limo kind of occasion. You want understated luxury and personal service. Welcome to Squire Livery. We are a tiny (two car), very personalized transportation and tour company for Napa and Sonoma. We specialize in intimate tours of wine country. We can take you to wineries of your choosing, but we are Particularly known for leading our clients to Hidden gems with Private Appointment Tastings, often times with the wine maker or vintner where the wines and the views are better and NO CROWDS and less expensive wines!

I’m writing on behalf of the PA/TX group of 8 from March 9th 2020 as the most satisfied customer of all time. Life tends to shuffle by us in this busy world of Instagram and Facebook, and when the desire for selective displacement hit the group, we looked West. Though we are certainly not the first group to visit the Napa Valley in search of rest, relaxation and a Cabernet haze, we did compete for the most anticipatory. I spent many hours searching the web for a driver/tour guide to help shepherd us through the vast array of wineries and eventually landed on Squire. Luckily, the Head Honcho of Squire answered my email directly and we spoke on the phone about my needs. I could tell from the conversation that I found the right company and the right person in Kent.
I’m not going to detail the specific wineries here, but there was just one place I needed to visit, and Kent convinced me to let him pick the other 2 venues. As a certified, Class A control freak, it was uncharacteristic of me to just hand the reins over to a complete stranger 3500 miles away. Something about Kent’s explanation of how he runs the business and how he would make sure everything would be first class just put me at ease.
Fast forward to the morning of the tour, Kent rolled into our rental driveway one minute ahead of schedule. Huge smile attached firmly to his face as all of us started to pile excitedly into the sparkling silver Suburban affixed with bottled water for all. We had about a 40-minute drive to winery #1 which was filled with questions of our derivation and then complete with tips, secrets and little-knowns about the valley. Kent seemingly knows everyone, and he’ll humbly impress you with stories replete with names you’ve heard of and some you only wish you knew.
Lunch is a mandatory diversion on an 8-hour winery jaunt, and Kent was able to get us the menu for an amazing deli right along the route to the second stop. Individual sandwiches were ordered for us and we found a nice spot to enjoy them. Kent knows where to go – just trust him.
Winery #1 was a group pick, but #s 2 and 3 were all Kent. These two private, little known small producers not only pour amazing juice, but offered the sought after views we all envisioned. Again, I don’t want to detail them here as they deserve their own merit exclusive of Squire, but rest assured the next time I request Kent drive us I will not be making any winery suggestions – it’s his choice.
I don’t normally write long reviews like this on Trip Advisor, but in this case, I must control myself from rambling on and on. I’ll put on a bow on it by saying, if you want to visit the Napa Valley and you want to try some amazing wine with the best guide ever, just call Kent. It’s really as simple as that. Thank you Kent – times 8!

We were pleasantly surprised by the gracious service provided by Kent. From the initial arrangements to the pickup and delivery we were treated with his warmth and positive energy. Even though the weather was cold and wet we had a great time listening to his explanation of the history of the valley and the differences in many of the wineries in the region. We were introduced to 3 boutique wineries and spent several hours at each one speaking with the vintners and learning about how the process begins and ends. This was a real treat and we felt honored to be invited into their wineries. I would highly recommend this company for any small group tour.

I can’t recommend doing private tours enough. I know that it’s pricey compared to hopping around on your own, but I’d seriously pick one day of this over doing multiple days on my own. You get to go to wineries you wouldn’t have access to otherwise and have private, unlimited tastings and experiences that are not shoulder to shoulder sips at a crowded bar.
As an example, we did a tasting inside the “barn” with a winemaker who literally walked in from working in the vines, took an ATV to the top of an overlook to enjoy our lunch while looking out at the valley and doing a tasting, then finished the day in a wine cave that had chandeliers and Andrea Boccelli piped through the speakers.
We used Squire for the first time during a visit 5 years ago and it was the first thing we booked upon our return trip to the area. We have friends visiting next week and they're booked with them too. I don't like to recommend something unless I feel confident in it being a hit and this one is always a home run.
If you want to feel like you're living out your mental picture of what Napa wine tastings should be like, what you see in the movies, then book with Squire!

Kent is a wonderful driver and tour guide! He set up a great couple of days for me and my sisters. All of the wineries he chose were in a decent price range with very friendly hosts and beautiful views. I would recommend Squire tours even if you’ve been to Napa plenty of times because they’ll show you some nice hidden gems off the beaten path and you’re sure to get great treatment. Thanks Kent!!!

My husband and I booked a day with Squire Livery and Kent back in 2016, and it was hands down our best day on that trip. When I had the chance to spend a day in Napa again last weekend with some coworkers, I knew we needed to call him. He booked a wonderful day for us tasting a great variety of wine, and he worked with our somewhat crazy schedule to make sure a couple of us that needed to leave early still had a great day. Thank you, Kent, we can't wait to come back!

We had a fantastic 2 days with Squire Livery. Kent brought us to small family-owned wineries that we would never have found on our own. Each place was carefully chosen for a great experience with beautiful locations, friendly people, and delicious wine. He really personalized the trip to our requests, and we had the best time exploring the Napa valley with him. We are now loyal Squire Livery customers!

Our group of 10 had such a great time with Hollie and Kent! They took such good care of us. They took us to beautiful, intimate wineries where we enjoyed spectacular views and wines with the wine makers themselves in some cases. We definitely want to travel with Squire again.

Where to begin. Kent at Squire Livery helped my now fiancé arrange a very successful proposal. When I say “helped,” he practically took care of the entire process for him and it turned out AMAZING. The perfect day.
His extreme knowledge about the Napa/Sonoma region and top tier small talk makes you feel like you’ve gained a friend for life. Just a special individual who escorted us on our special day.
The actual wineries/vineyards that he chose were not the typical big operation, popular, touristy spots. But instead they were smaller, family owned wineries that are the gems only the locals know about. We pretty much had each one to ourselves and were shown wonderful hospitality throughout the day. 10/10 and cannot wait for next year when we can make the trip again.

This Trip was fabulous. When we started talking about wine tours in the Napa Valley I thought it sounded fun but had no idea what an amazing trip it would be. Kent picked us up from the Airport and made us feel like royalty from the word go. His knowledge and ability to tell the story of Napa is mesmerizing. I would recommend Kent time and time again. It was magical.

Squire Livery is amazing and all future visits in Napa will include time with Kent from Squire Livery. Kent was fantastic, a great conversationalist, knowledgeable about wine, and simply an amazing person. His driving was incredibly safe, and he took us to the most incredible small estate wineries that do unbelievable work in the wine business, creating some of the best wine I have ever had in my life. And we got to meet the wine creators themselves who were incredibly humble, kind and down to earth. It was so laid back and such a pleasure. And to think I would have never experienced it had I not been a part of his private tour and driving. Thank you Kent! I wish your team nothing but success, you are the real deal and I can’t wait to return to Napa and introduce my husband to you and your tour experience. Salute!

The tasting fees are waived if you purchase wine - we didn’t feel pressured to buy - always given the option to pay for the tasting (the tasting fee would be in addition to the service fee). Hope that helps!

We visited in late June and it was lovely. Beautiful scenery as you are driven to different wineries and the opportunity to see some of the steps taken by the talented people who work in the vineyards.
I would allow a full day. We were picked up at out hotel in Napa about 10 am and spent 7 hours visiting wineries. Great Day.

I am planning a three-four day visit to Napa Valley with 10-12 friends (all women), and am exploring opportunities for wine tasting/tours. My plans are to stay in the Napa Valley, preferably in a house, take in a day of wine tasting/tour, experience a hot air balloon ride, and possibly a mud bath/massage. Would you be able to accommodate 10-12 ladies on a tour?

We did a trip with 9 people. The suburban didn’t fit all of us, so we paid extra to hire an additional driver. It worked out perfectly. Shelby was excellent. Very charming and we enjoyed the extra space.

Kent will email you after you book.
You will discuss what you are looking for, the types of wines you like. He and his team will customize the experience for you.
However, don't expect to go to the "famous" wineries that people talk about. I've been there and done that. My experiences at those places is that I'm just a number. Meaning they charge me when I walk in. Highly impersonable. I get a table if I'm lucky next to the bathrooms.
Squire is different. I've been to wineries that I have never heard of. They don't advertise. They don't sell to restaurants or wine stores. They are small boutique wineries that make incredible wine. The owners or the winemakers come out and great you.
If you absolutely only want to go to "famous" wineries, don't call Squire. If you want wine that people will absolutely love when you bring to a party, then call Squire.
