Shadowbox would like to invite you to reserve your experience to a personalized tasting with the vintners and/or winemaker at our Downtown Napa Tasting Salon. ​ Sip through current releases, and possibly some library wine, all as you enjoy selected cheese and bites paired to enhance your experience. Shadowbox wines are all tasted in hand-crafted, lead-free, Mark Thomas Double Bend Glasses.

Wine with Potato Chips!

Shadowbox Cellars was an interesting wine tasting experience. The tasting room is in downtown Napa. The wines were different in a positive way and they are paired with gourmet potato chips! It is not your typical wine tasting. The owner, who was our host was efficient and knowledgeable. Tasting was little pricey, sixty dollars each, but not as expensive as many others. We were glad we tried it.

Shadowbox Cellars has a fabulous little tasting room in downtown Napa where they have tasting experiences (check the website and book ahead).

It is totally worth the money to book a tasting experience because you get the chance to talk to the winemaker, taste the wines, and sample some food to see how well their wine pairs with food. The atmosphere is upscale, but not pretentious and you won't be rushed. You'll be encouraged to enjoy the wines and ask questions.

AND enjoying the Shadowbox wines is easy. They have incredible wines. Their pinot noir is among the best you'll find in California. To me, "it drinks like a cab," meaning that it isn't pale or weak like many pinots, this one is bold. I'm also a fan of their rose and, of course, their cabs.

Nearly Overlooked Gem

We got in here a bit last minute while exploring the town center and are glad we did. They have some wonderful wines and gave us great advice on what else to explore during our time in Napa.
