More
We are by appointment only. Please go to our website to inquire about our experiences. We do not take phone reservations. The cost is $55.00 per person. We regretfully are not permitted to have anyone under 21 years of age nor allow any pets on the premises. Our award winning wines come from our 40 acres in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. From grape growing to bottling, the entire winemaking process is managed at the estate. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Our wines are sought after by collectors and have received many awards, including a recent 98 point score for our 2013 Unrestrained Reserve Bordeaux Blend.

We were celebrating our daughter's 25th birthday with a wine tasting trip to the Napa Valley as an introduction to quality wine with a little bit of education into what wine is all about (after spending years at UofO - she needed and appreciated it!)....More

I recently booked this winery as part of a wine tasting day for a group of 8 ladies. I chose it because of the great reviews, but we were all very disappointed. It was the last stop of the day and we were sent on...More

Had a fantastic time at the O'Brien Estate winery. Our driver Frank insisted we go. Luckily we were able to get in despite missing our scheduled appointment time. The 2010 Seduction Bordeaux was all it was advertised to be. During our time a local couple...More

I was so excited to go to O'Brien based on the great reviews that they got. My husband and I went on our first day in Napa - this was our first winery. We got there a few min early and were told that the...More

Been seeing this winery for over a year now at #1 on Tripadvisor and I was curious. Was it a fad? A Scam? A group of highschoolers helping their buddy out? Finally made myself an appointment to try it myself and it didn't take long...More

My wife and I were in Napa having breakfast at Chandon Winery after our ballon ride. A nice gentleman walked up to us wearing one of those Gregg Norman style hats and introduced himself as Bart O'Brien owner of the winery and said why don't...More

This was our very first winery experience in Napa, for my party of 4. We shared our tour/taste with another couple. It went by really really fast, and not necessarily in a good way. I don't even really remember much of the information. I understand...More

Most of the smaller wineries require reservations, I would call or email the ones you want to go to, so you aren't turned away. OBrien and Venge require reservations, groups of four or less may be able to just walk in for a... More

Best to reserve tastings well in advance at O'Brien's, small and intimate, as opposed to Castelo. Do it on line or by phone in advance. O'Brien's is very close to Yountville, but you will need to drive.
