We are by appointment only. Please go to our website to inquire about our experiences. We do not take phone reservations. The cost is $40.00 per person. We regretfully are not permitted to have anyone under 21 years of age nor allow any pets on the premises. Our award winning wines come from our 40 acres in the Oak Knoll District of Napa Valley. From grape growing to bottling, the entire winemaking process is managed at the estate. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. Our wines are sought after by collectors and have received many awards, including a recent 98 point score for our 2013 Unrestrained Reserve Bordeaux Blend.

Must see tour that requires advance registration. Family owned winery with great wines and friendly staff. Louis helped us and we got to sit in his office which was a table right outside by the vines. We enjoyed the spring like morning air and he poured many wines for us, explaining them in detail. We also were allowed to wander... More

We visited O'Brien as the first stop on our winery tour and I'm so thankful we started here. Julio was wonderful as he explained each wine to us (wine novices) and was so welcoming. Every other vineyard we visited couldn't compare to the hospitality we experienced. And the wine! Every variety we sampled was as delicious as the next. If... More

Our group of eight spent 4 days in the Napa/Sonoma area. After visiting numerous "big box" wineries we came to O’Brien Estate for our private wine tasting. After reading many great reviews about this family owned small vineyard, we were excited to try something different. We were not disappointed. Our tasting took place at the edge of the vineyard on... We booked this wine tasting via the Marriott which resulted in a wine tasting beyond any expectation we imagined. Jason was our Wine Ambassador for the afternoon and after he learned a little bit of what we liked and disliked he altered the tasting for us. Which of course resulted in more wine coming home but that was fine too.... More

Luis ushered us through the wonderful wines they offered and also provided us tastes from the reserves as well which we appreciated since we are not concerned so much about price as about quality. Not saying that "reserve" means that it is going to be a better wine, but it is nice to be able to compare with the new... More

My spouse and I visited the O'Brien Estate in July 2016. You must make reservations to visit there and it is worth your time. It is very small and charming, you have a personal guide through your wine tasting. We had Julio and he was outstanding. I recommend visiting this winery if you really want to learn and have a... Went with some friends that are members of this winery and we had a wonderful time. This particular winery is by appointment only, so definitely call ahead of time to make sure they have openings. We were lucky enough to be there while the grapes were still on the vine and it just looked pretty. The tour does not consist... More

My husband and I planned our recent trip to Napa Valley at the last minute. After reading so many rave reviews, we decided that we had to visit O'Brien Estate. Although they tend to book up fairly far in advance, we were fortunate to get an appointment. Upon arriving at O'Brien we were greeted by Jason and invited to take... More

This was our first time in Napa and we loved O'Briens. We visited 5 vineyards and we loved three of them for different reasons; Frogs Leap and Hall were the other two. We appreciated the casual, personal treatment we received at O'Briens. Julio took care of us, and when I say us I mean my wife and I. It's apparently... More

This was our first trip to Napa and to a wine tasting. Julio was our guide and he was phenomenal. He didn't talk over us and explained everything very throughly. He was very genuine. The environment was super relaxed and casual, not stuffy or snobby. We tasted six wines and they were all amazing, even for those in our group... More
