We booked the Ackerman Heritage House for a fun cooking class experience / corporate event and the team did not disappoint! Alexia was wonderful throughout the booking experience and logistics of our event. We had quite a few dietary restrictions, yet she partnered with the chef to craft a beautiful menu. Chef Jennifer Smith – Abrams, an experienced chef local to the Napa region was incredible to work with. She made cooking some complex dishes less intimidating and so fun. The way she had the kitchen set up was perfect for our large party size, where each of our team members had a station to work on the various recipes. She was informative and kept her teaching very lite and playful. She explained how each dish came together thoughtfully. The meal that she instructed us through was very delicious! We enjoyed dining on what we created. Molly, the House and Events Manager, ensured that our experience was at the forefront of the team’s mind. Her service, education about the history of how Ackerman Heritage House came to be made for a very enjoyable lunch. I highly recommend booking Ackerman Heritage House for their cooking class experience!

My husband and I booked a tea at 11:00 a.m. We arrived ten minutes early. I behave a cane, so the lady in charge allowed us to come in right away to have a seat. The Victorian mansion is lovely. The service was excellent; staff stopped by about every ten minutes to answer questions or refill the tea pot. The tea tray included small servings of: Beef Wellington, scone, egg salad in roll, chicken salad in endive leaf, poppy seed muffin, and raspberry butter. My husband requested and received clotted cream to go with his scone. I’d probably give it a 4.5 rating, because the first tea included bergamot and some fruity flavors, which wasn’t really my usual voice. However, they did offer other selection with our next three pots.

I had the pleasure of having afternoon tea at Ackerman House with some girlfriends during the holidays. We were greeted by a handsome gentleman, named Joe, who proceeded to give us an amazing tour of the grounds and facility. Joe answered all of our questions, Was extremely knowledgeable about the history of Ackerman House, and was absolutely charming and gracious...he even took photos of our group! We were then seated for afternoon tea and a feast for the eyes! The food served was delicious and Obviously prepared with a lot of love, the house tea was amazing; in fact we all bought some to to take home, and the presentation was beautiful down to every last detail...I felt like I was on the set of Downton Abbey! What a wonderful way to spend an afternoon, I highly recommend Ackerman house and can’t wait to go again!!

I had a great time getting together with my friends at the Ackerman House. The staff was very warm and welcoming. As far as the tea goes, that part was pretty disappointing. I have been to many different afternoon teas, but this one was the most expensive while at the same time, had the least amount of food of any tea that I've ever been too. I was actually pretty shocked when I saw the trays. I have never had one quarter of a tea sandwich in my life. Usually you get to choose at least 2-3 whole sandwiches, which are then cut into tea sandwich triangles. For $94 (not including tip, BUT including a mandatory 22% service charge), to only have one little sandwich triangle is not a true tea service. There were other savory and sweet bites, which were tasty, but didn't have that freshly baked homemade taste. Also disappointing, is the fact that we each did not get our own individual tea pot with our tea of choice to go along with our meals. In the end, we did not receive all of the teas that we ordered. I think the owner thought the idea of afternoon tea in a Victorian mansion would sell and be a great business idea, and she's probably right because it does get booked up, but for someone who loves to attend afternoon teas, and is pretty familiar with how it's supposed to be run, this was a let down.

Went to holiday tea twice with two different groups of friends. Beautiful home and wonderful staff but the holiday tea was just okay. Sandwiches weren’t fresh and baked goods were dry. Still enjoyed just being with friends. The first time we got a tour of the home.

For our 42nd anniversary, my husband and I decided to do a big splurge and we went to the Ackerman Heritage House for a private tour, tasting, and a 3 course dinner. We were greeted with a delicious glass of Chardonnay and delicious snacks. Joe gave us a full tour of the house, which has been meticulously restored, and then we sat down in the table by the kitchen and watched Chef Kelly, whip-up a fantastic three course meal, just for us, that had the most wonderful balance of flavors you can imagine. He loves what he does and it shows in his incredible creations. After dinner, to our surprise, they gave us 3 terrific bottles of wine and his autographed cookbook. This was a one-of-a kind experience for us, and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves food and wine and respects those who know how to pair them.

I wish all that was advertised were offered to us. The place is nice though pricey. Parking is on the street.

This was a fun and excellent experience! Molly was the best ever! Barrett our "server" was the bomb! The ambience was superb, in an old mansion, surrounded by lots of flowers and greenery; the mansion was so large that there was alot of privacy allotted most tables. The tea was great, the sandwiches and sweets were fine but the gruyere, cheese and scallion scones were beyond this world!!! BEYOND!!!! Kudos all!!!!

Lauren Ackerman has created THE bespoke wine and history experience in Napa! Ackerman Heritage House is the perfect backdrop for the outstanding family wines.

This is a must stop for the sophisticated history buff - make sure you ask for the tour upstairs and the incredible story on how the house was "meant to be" in her family.
