William Hill Estate is renowned for crafting elegant Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot wines due to its exceptional location just off the Silverado Trail in southern Napa Valley on the rolling hills of the Silverado Bench. William Hill founded this Estate Winery in 1978, purchasing 200 acres of which 140 acres are planted to vine. Once classic in style, winemaker Ralf Holdenried has successfully transitioned our wines to a more refined and sophisticated style with fruit intensity and layers of complexity. Ralf's innovative and progressive approach to grape growing and winemaking enhances the unique style of our Napa Valley wines.

We stayed at Silverado Resort along the Silverado Trail, so William Hill was very close. We did not know it was by reservation only but it was an early Wednesday afternoon so they welcomed us in! We had stopped at a deli and they gladly allowed us to bring in our outside food. We bought a bottle (or 2), sat... More

Oh my gosh! How did I not know about this place? I feel like a fool for not having visited earlier... 1. Make a reservation! This place takes a limited number of tastings at a time. But the service is outstanding and they explain everything to you. 2. Unlike other wineries that pour one glass at a time, this places... More

Great views and a very relaxing environment. We went on a weekday morning and were the only people there for most of our tasting. The staff was fantastic and offered some info about the wines and the winery but then also just left you alone to enjoy the wines.

Just a little off the trail but worth it in my opinion. Just fantastic views and superb wine. I joined the club and am enjoying the wine at home here in the midwest.

Took my daughter here for her 25th birthday. The grounds are lovely with gorgeous views. It's kind of hard to get to, off the beaten path a bit and you need a reservation. I sought them out purposely because I love their wines. We served their 2004 Chardonnay at our wedding and have loved them ever since. A worthwhile stop... More

The entrance is nothing to boast about until you park your car and head towards the reception area. Stunning views, great service, excellent wine. We spent the entire day there.

William Hill almost had a permanent resident: I did not want to get up from their perfeclty placed adirondack chairs! We visited three tastings before William Hill, yet William Hill inspired us with relaxation and wines that fit the 4p hour. Ashley was an incredible help: she knew when to step in for more pours and descriptions, but she did... More

From the moment you park, with the staff greeting you at the door and view to die for while tasting. This is a must stop winery. Very nice outdoor area to enjoy wine tasting with a view and friends. Very quiet, super friendly staff and tasty chardonnay. I would highly recommend this winery to everyone!

We have friends who are members at William Hill and have stopped by many times both with and without them. The wines are very drinkable and reasonably priced and the staff welcoming. We love the location on the top of a small knoll with views over the valley from a variety of picnic tables. As members, you gain the option... More
