We loved the Jarvis Estate winery. The entire wine production facility is inside this large man made cave. We were able to see a part of the production process as it was happening and enjoyed a private tour of the cave. The tasting was great with our own private tasting room, selection of cheese, crackers, and nuts and several great wines. …

One of the most extraordinary experiences in Napa, do not skip this one on your next trip through wine country. The underground cave setting is breathtaking, the wines are superb, and the service was impeccable. We were even lucky enough to show up on during bottling and were treated to a small sampling of the upcoming vintage right off the line. All this while feeling extremely safe amid all the health precautions being taken (we were a bit concerned given the indoor cave setting but felt 100% comfortable the whole time, every precaution had been taken). Our tasting was outside, and while the indoor tasting rooms look spectacular, we enjoyed the new temporary outdoor setting, too. Most importantly, Susan was a phenomenal host — very knowledgeable and informative, sure, but also just an absolutely lovely person to enjoy the tour and tasting with. By the end, it felt more like we were having a drink with an old friend than doing a wine tasting. She recommended a couple of other hidden gem wineries for the rest of our trip, all of which were superb. I can’t strongly enough suggest asking for Susan. Cheers to the whole Jarvis team and many thanks for a wonderful visit, look forward to returning again soon. …

This was a wonderful intimate tour through the estates cave, and finished off with a personalized tasting on the grounds. This isn't normally how the tours operate, but due to COVID they had to make adjustments. To be honest, I really enjoyed it this way. I could see that it may be a bit more uncomfortable if the temperatures were much higher. The wine itself was delicious, and our tour guide Dan was very personable and friendly. You can tell he had a passion for the industry. Bottles are pricey but worth it for the quality you receiving. Be sure to make reservations! I don't believe they take "walk ins".…

We visited Jarvis during first week after COVID-19 quarantine. Tour was organized very well, plus we felt very safe. Caves, underground stream, wine barrels, gems , various machines and instruments definitely will attract your attention . Plus our guide told us numerous interesting stories about winery. Winery is really completely underground but it is surrounded with beautiful garden. Tasting included 5 or 6 wines and all of them were good. I even decided to buy couple bottles of Cabernet Frank. But I think that Jarvis wines are overpriced as many wines from Napa Valley.…

Jarvis has ruined me for other wines. I came here for the first time three years ago and it simply took my breath away--not just because of the massive underground cave system complete with a waterfall where the tour takes place, but also because of the transcendent wine that to this day I lust after. The reds are their stars (though the Finch Hollow Chardonnay is equally incredible), and it seems every year the Lake William Blend keeps getting better. Of course, their reserve Merlot and Cabernets are must-haves. Is it pricey? Of course, but trust me when I say your senses will relish every rich, buttery, bold drop. Whenever we go to Napa, we go to Jarvis (thankfully, our friends are members so we take advantage of tastings, harvests, and balls).…
