Took my HR and Accounting Team for a day in Wine Country and a few hours aboard the Wine Train. We were not disappointed! Check-in was quick and easy; we even got to meet the Executive Chef as he made his rounds. He would later stop by our table to make sure we were all happy - and we were!... More

Although we've been to Napa Valley a few times, this was our first time enjoying the Napa Valley Wine Train. Simply put, you've gotta do this! The service onboard the train is 5-star all the way. We opted for the Ambassador package and the experience was top-notch. We started our journey with a sit-down meal at a table with freshly... More

We had 46 people in our tour group so we had most of one club car and one dining car. We had a very good glass of wine to start our train ride. Any additional wine was an extra charge. We started in a club car and when the engines turned around to return, we switched to a dining car.... More

Very well run. Nice, relaxing day. Great lunch and service. The only thing they could do to improve the experience is to have commentary about the sights you pass along the way. Would be best over a speaker system.

If you intend to visit the Napa Valley, odds are you are a wine buff. Well the wine train brought all my favourite things together in one place, fine dinning, sumptuous surroundings and wonderful scenery. I booked the glass dome car for lunch, it was well worth the cost. You are free to walk any of the cars on the... More

The ride was nice but it is just a moving restaurant. I thought because of the "wine train" name we were going to try some wines or even hear an explanation about Napa Valley, its history, the wines or something, but no. On the first half you could buy drinks and they have you a small snack plate, on the... More

From the time you get there and through full experience you are guided through what to expect next. A history of the area and railroad kick things off. Then it is all aboard for a foodie experience. We had the quite yummy asparagus soup for appetizers then enjoyed the rosemary pork tenderloin and my wife had the salmon. We enjoyed... More

We splurged and paid extra for the Observation Deck and it was well worth it. The Observation Deck seating is private and the views were outstanding. The staff is knowledgeable and professional, the food is gourmet and equivalent to a 5 Star restaurant. The views from the train were spectacular. The train moves at about 15 miles per hour, so... The train is a really nice day out. We chose the Ambassador tour which includes lunch a a visit to two winneries, Raymond and Charles Crug. Overall it was an excellent afternoon and the lunch was very nice. The train itself is splendid and easily takes you back to the golden age of rail travel. Value is good. The only... More

The train ride proved to be boring and too expensive for what you get. Although the waitress and her helpers were joyful and full of bubble the ride was unimpressive. Three hours of going past grape vines and unimpressive homes. The meal was very good but the complimentary wine 2oz was less than stellar. The experience was a money charger... More
