First time here. What a charming little tasting room on main street in Murphy. When we walked past, quite a few folks were tasting, so we popped in. "Cool Karen" was the server and she made our experience. We had the "pick 3 for $15" and it was so much fun. My friend and I were both very intrigued by the presentation of this tasting. A special vessel / holder was used for the 3 glasses, which was then put on a diagram (paper) so we knew exactly which wine was which. We didn't end up buying any but had a lovely time sipping away. If in the area, give it a try. I shall add, it's a very intimate experience as the tasting room is quite small, but fun.

We visited Murphys recently and decided to visit one of the 30+ wine tasting rooms on the main street of Murphys after lunch and stopped in at the Stevenot Winery Tasting room. The tasting room has a large granite bar with bar stools and also has tables with more stools when there are more visitors in the tasting room than can fit at the bar. They have very good wine; we liked the Reserve Chardonnay and the Reserva Duetto which is a blend of 50% Barbera and 50% Cinsault. The server is delightful and very personable!

We were with friends, so it was nice for the four of us to be at the corner at the tasting bar and be able to relax sitting on a bar stool while sampling Stevenot's delightful wines! If you purchase wine, you do not pay a tasting fee.

Had been here many times before but always go back. This time also visited their new location up the hill (the old Irish Winery); so fun chatting with the girls pouring the wine and having a fun afternoon.

The extended family have been club members here for 15 plus years so we had to drop in for a tasting. This place still stands amongst the top of the wineries in the Murphys area, we really enjoyed their Duetto and Tempranillo.

Enjoyed tasting the wines. Joined their club as a result of trying and liking the wines. Ordered the Wine Tasters Plater to go with our tasting experience. It was a nicely done with salami, cheddar and asiago cheese, crackers, olives and dried apricots.

We love coming to Stevenot. Lorraine is friendly and truly enjoys her job. Our favorite wine is the Chardonnay which we discovered at a local restaurant. They have 2 Chardonnays--oak and stainless. Both are great and reasonable prices. Love the Barbera too. It's always appreciated when you can taste wine while sitting in a comfortable bar stool.

My husband and I visited a couple years ago. We prearranged a tour of the vineyard and winery. It was a wonderful afternoon and we learned so much about grapes, wine and how it is made.

We brought some friends for testing while while I picked up our wine club selections that were being held for us after a recent move. The Wine Club is highly recommended to get selections of the best wine at a discount. Visits are still the best way to meet the best staff serving the best wines.

Recently attended a wine tasting at the Black Bear Inn where the Calaveras County wines were blind tasted with the same varietal from international wines. The Stevenot reserve barbera was the best wine of the tasting. Then we headed to the tasting room in Murphys to stock up and found some other very nice reserve wines. Like their sparkling and the chardonnay very much as well. Brooke in the tasting room is not only very knowledgeable about the wine and the company, but a friendly local guide to suggest other places to go and to taste. There are a lot of wine tasting places in Murphys, but this just moved to #1.

We've enjoyed Stevenot wines for many years. This tasting room is always a great experience with knowledgeable family members and fun atmosphere. Personal favorites are Barbera and Petite Sirah.
