Our little girl loves the playground here. Was begging every day to go back and meet new little friends. The water from the headwaters of the Sacramento are the best I've tasted in my life! Nice big grassy area to practice yoga or play frisbee while the kids play. And some picnic tables and such to eat. Great with small kids. Have to watch them as you do at all parks, there is many different walks of life there doing their thing, but the vibes are really good and it's an awesome park.

We enjoyed a nice return to Mount Shasta City Park on a Sunday afternoon. It was popular in spite of the showery rainy weather the day we visited. It has gorgeous views.

We were heading up to the mountain and stopped for a quick visit to this downtown park. I'd read about the spring (the headwaters of the Sacramento River) and couldn't resist filling our water bottles (cold and delicious!) It's clearly a park that's well-used, and the atmosphere the morning we were there was relaxed and informal (jogging, frisbee, picnics, naps on the grass, even someone set up to give free massages.) A very nice place to relax----and to have a refreshing drink of spring water!

What an amazing and beautiful small mountain town. You sit at the foot of the mountain towering up in green wonder in reverence. And with many fine places to eat and cafes it is a place to return again and again

The spring is very pretty, nice trail around the park. Playground. Nice picnic area. But, in the summer there are some very dodgy people there.
