Had a mens' retreat over the last weekend in September. The campground was about one third full. We stayed in a "cabin" that supposedly slept 6. Not quite. First, it was a mobile home. Second, it would legitimately sleep five: two in a queen bed, and one each in two bunk beds and a sofa-futon day bed. Two small children... More

This is my go to stop on my frequent drives from San Francisco to Eugene. I'll buy a lunch at Trader Joe's when I start, and then have picnic at the lake. It's crazy busy in the summer up til Labour Day weekend with kayaking, paddle boarding, swimming going on. There's also a fantastic water playground with giant inflatables for... More

Arrived during off season to a nearly empty beach. Water low this year meaning nearly 100 yards from parking lot to the water. Wife and friend swam in the water which they said was cold but bearable. Young adults played volleyball in the established court in the wood. Two sailboats enjoyed the breezes. Delightful place to tarry on a warm... More

We had a nice ride out to Lake Siskiyou, this is a beautiful spot for a sack lunch. The beach is kind of rocky, not much sand. There were a lot of kayakers on the water.

It costs $1 per person for day use at the camp, beach, marina and hiking area. You can rent a motorized boat from the marina for fishing or just fun. You can rent a kayak, peddle boat or canoe from the beach, you can camp and you can hike here. They have restaurants, a store, a snack bar and a... More

Wow, the pictures you can get, the fun you can have. This lake is great for all kinds of water sports even swimming. Don't pass this one by.

Great little resort. We were able to rent kayaks by the hour and they were very nice. Everything was clean. The gal at the little snack bar was super friendly and helpful.

The lake is located behind the chalets at the Mt. Shasta Resort. There is a hiking trail that takes you around the lake (approximately 7 miles). Many locals frequent the lake. There is an abundance of wild life including bears, and rattle snakes so some caution is needed. The public beach is huge and it only costs $1.00 to get... More

After finishing the Horse Camp Trail on Mt Shasta we were looking for a place to cool down. The Sierra Club representative at the Shasta Alpine Lodge suggested Lake Siskiyou. The lake is just on the other side of I5, maybe 10 min outside of town. We found a parking area near the lake, made our way down to the... More

Having previously lived nearby it was a recent treat to revisit Lake Siskiyou recently. It is a pretty and scenic as ever. This lake which is always maintained at full pool behind a dramatic canyon dam is surrounded by beautiful pines and mountain backdrops. The water color is beautiful. Check it out.
