Absolutely Must Do!! 5+++++ stars!!! This is a wonderful way to tour the Elkhorn Slough and learn about the local sea life and scenery. Captain Roberta is an amazingly knowledgeable and very friendly person. She has a great sense of humor with a beautiful smile. We saw lots of birds, sea lions, harbor seals, otters. At times the water is like glass and it is so peaceful. The boat "Selkie" has a roof with windows that can be up or down, so weather is not an issue. There were six of us for the 11am cruise on a Sunday. We were truly impressed with the boat, the ease of service and the tour itself. This tour is great for everyone including couples, kids, even folks that might be afraid of the water.

Joona provided an outstanding tour of the Elkhorn Slough for us this morning. The electric boat is impeccably clean & Joona strictly adheres to all pandemic safety regulations.
Because the boat is electric, it is virtually soundless so we were able to get close to the sea otters & their babies, as well as near to lounging sea lions & many bird species. Joona is very knowledgeable about the animals & their environment so I learned a lot on this 2 hour trip.
Although it was chilly this morning, Joona had blankets for our comfort & the boat was incredibly comfortable. Joona obviously takes great pride in his beautiful boat and in the tour service he offers.
I highly recommend the Elkhorn Slough tour, and someday hope to take the “sunset cruise” with Joona!

Such a great experience! The owner went above and beyond to make our experience really memorable and to accommodate us; he even played music, offered to take pictures for us and told us about the wildlife and good spots to visit around the area. The boat is beautifully decorated and comfortable. The table is really nice to have on board to enjoy a meal. 100% worth it and would definitely book again!

I booked a private boating experience with Whisper Charters in December for $450. They canceled due to the pandemic which we completely understood. Since we were unable to reschedule and get a firm confirmation on when the charter would be available we asked for a refund. This company promised that I would be getting a refund a few days after Jan 4th. It is now February and they still have not given me my refund and are now not responding.
I tried working with them by extending the deadline to February since they needed more time but at this point they basically took the money. I am in the process of contacting the better business bureau and my bank. Frankly, I have never experienced such a horrendous situation with a company before.

We had a wonderful sunset cruise with Joonya in Moss Landing. The waterway there is beautiful section of protected water that is home to Otters, Seals, Terns, Pelicans, Geese, and a variety of other wildlife. The boat he pilots is one of a kind and makes almost no noise so the wildlife swims right up to the boat.
If your looking for relaxing evening with great views there isn’t much better. Thank you!

5 of us went on this tour of the Elkhorn Slough. The boat is quiet and in impeccable condition. Our guide Joonya was friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the slough and its creatures. The tour was so relaxing yet invigorating, so be able to see the marine life up so closely. I highly recommend this tour to tourists as well as residents of Monterey County.

Wonderful birthday gift for my mom for her 77th birthday! Lots of wildlife photo opportunities and the Hawaiian music added to the delightful ambience. Joonya (our captain) even took beatiful group photos of us on the boat at sunset. Hope to do this again next time we visit Monterey!

Our family went on the "Mid Morning Glide" tour on May 11, 2021. (Two seniors, 2 younger 30s, one active 3 year old, and one baby.)
It was fabulous! The electric boat was so quiet and Captain Joonya was so knowledgeable and friendly. The Elkhorn Slough is a magical place in terms of beauty and wildlife. We saw so many otters (some with babies) and harbor seals (more babies and youngsters) up close in their natural environment. Lots of cool birds: snowy egrets, pelicans, cormorants, herons, gulls, etc. The animals obviously knew the boat and that it was not a danger to them so we were able to keep the animals safe but close enough to see the slough and the animals really well. It was a magical tour I will always remember! When I am back in that area I will definitely take the tour again.

We had a private charter to celebrate my sons 50th Birthday. It was awesome! Great boat with comfy seating & beautiful Hawaiin decor. Joonya our captain is from The Big Island so along with the many Otters. Seals & birds we saw we were entertained with Aloha spirit & stories. Joonya gave us blankets when the wind picked & we appreciated the quiet electric boat. GO. Its a great experience.

Joonya the owner is very knowledgeable, friendly, and just the perfect person to be your Captain.
Yo will see various birds, seals, otters, jellyfish and much up close, but in respect to the environment.
You can bring your own picnic & beverages, or Joonya, whom is also a talented chef can arrange for you, all home made.
This is great for families, a couples Sunset Cruise, a Ladies group Paint Party, and just about anyone else.
We felt so refreshed after our cruise, with the connection to nature and the smoothness of the boat.
