We had a niece visiting who just turned 21 so we drove to MB to go on the Lost Isle booze cruise. The boat was broken. We shifted gears and opted for this ride and it was swell. They go around the harbor and chum for fish so you can see them feeding from the undewrater deck. Great way ro... More

This was worth the expense. The boat trip takes you about 7 miles out into the Pacific Ocean on a hunt to find the humpback whales that feed off the California coast in summer. Whales are wild animals and the Pacific is huge, so I guess Sub Sea Tours cannot guarantee anything, but on the day we went, we were... More

Our guide at the 4 o 'clock ride knew everything about the whales. We saw a lot - also sun fish, dolphines, and he explained the bird life too. I took a lot of nice pics. A last even a whale jumped of the water! Amazing views in august! Thank youuuu!

Our family of five took this one-hour boat ride and had a great time. At first you start out above water looking at the sea lions resting on a dock, then you get to go below deck and watch the fish swarm for the food the captain throws in. There are big windows so you can look out from either... More

We were apprehensive since most whale watching tours we have been on were much larger boats traveling much farther in the ocean. We tried it and we seen 3 humpbacks pretty close. The staff was fantastic.

booked the 9 AM tour 22 July,we missed it due to GPS issues, office was helpful and rebooked us on the 12.30 tour, nice. Boat left finally at 1 PM, in the bay smooth waters, then in the "open" ocean it became more bumpy. Half of the boat got seasick, and no whales. The vessel docked again at the pier at 3... More

We took the 4pm trip. We had read lots of reviews about whale watching, sea sickness and not seeing any whales. It was cold once out on the sea and it was also choppy. Dane the skipper was a fantastic host and he was extremely knowledgable about the whales and other marine life. Highly recommend this trip.

So much fun getting out on the bay, learning a bit of history, seeing seeing flora/fauna/sealife and...getting to feed the fish from this fun/quirky sub seat tour.... More

I took my son whale watching last year and we had a great time although the whales weren't really cooperative. This year we got lucky and found two whales immediately! It was a great experience. If you are prone to car or sea sickness please take your Dramamine the night before. We were on chioppy water for three hours and... More

The staff on the boat knew just where to find whales and we saw them at least 50 times I bet. the whales were putting on a great show and the staff was able to interpret what the whales were up to. It was a cool, foggy day but we were all so excited the weather didn't matter. Easily one... More
