DO NOT TAKE KIDS HERE The guy on the dock has no manners or respect. Our 2 year old wanted to go, they put him in an adult life jacket and said its fine. When we tried to get a kids life jacket and he said "put that back you already have a jacket." We explained that the jacket was too large and not safe and he "he is fine, the one you grabbed is dirty, you might be fine with your kid wearing a dirty life jacket but we are not" mind you, the rack has no labeling or anything. We didn't know that the jackets on the end were dirty. Do not take your kids here as they don't care about the safety of children and will talk down to you if you care.

Enjoyed a pedal boat ride on El Estero lake in Monterey. Although the swan and duck boats were tempting, we opted for a more wind dynamic regular boat. Although the lake is small you can easily enjoy an hour of pedaling. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by the variety of wildlife on the tiny island in the middle of the lake. We saw turtles, a heron and various other birds. This was the perfect way to physical distance, get some exercise and enjoy the outdoors. The staff were masked, used hand sanitizer and made sure the boat and life jackets were cleaned between uses. I highly recommend this fun activity.

This place is an excellent location to get away from everything. Riding on the paddle boats is so much fun. What a relaxing treat. I recommend it for locals as well as tourists.

Upon arrival you’ll choose between a swan paddle boat or a standard paddle boat. The swan costs a little more. The boats fit 4 people. They charge by the half hour. I got a standard paddle boat. It was a hot day, but the breeze that came from off the lake was really nice. I was with someone who just had surgery, so we paddled slowly to help build back their strength. This can be a mild and fun exercise for someone trying to get back in shape because it doesn’t make you feel like exercising because you’re enjoying yourself. Would love to go again.
