My favorite part of my experience was seeing all the marine life like the whales, dolphins, sea lions and jellyfish up close. I also liked how the narrator described and told us facts about everything we saw. I recommend sucking on a ginger candy or taking Dramamine if it is a windy day because the swell might make you nauseous. The captain was very good at getting us through the swell and allowing everyone to get the chance to see the whales or dolphins when they were spotted. Someone was always walking around making sure everyone was ok. I definitely recommend taking the Princess Monterey Whale Watching tour when you’re in the area.

We know that nature can't be predicted so we were extremely lucky with the day we had. Booked our trip the night before after seeing flyers in the wharf area, we particularly liked the fact it left at 9am opposed to most competitors going at 10am as we needed to make the most of the day. The boat was a little choppy for a short period which saw 2 of the 16 people blow some chunks overboard but the rest of the time it was very smooth sailing! Staff were friendly and knowledgeable and clearly had the animals best interests at heart! We were lucky enough to see a few grey whales as well as a humpback and tonnes of dolphins! Whilst we would have been disappointed to see less or nothing we would actually have been quite happy with it just being a nice trip on a boat!

My wife and I enjoy taking a road trips regularly up from Southern Cal to visit the humpback whales in Monterey and Moss Landing, and we were not disappointed!

Captain Duke did a great job of navigating the Atlantis through some high swells in Monterey Bay and locating the whales very quickly. Josh and Taylor were the deck hands, and they provided excellent instructions to keep us safe and informed.

Although my wife and I have been on many whale watching journeys, Kylee did an outstanding job as naturalist to explain the characteristics of the whales and anticipated and explained the activity so that everyone could understand what was going on. I learned a few new things today, including the "bait balls" of fish that the humpbacks would follow to do "lunge feeding"! I have attached a couple of pictures that my wife took, up close and personal.

All in all, it was a great journey and I would recommend Princess Monterey Whale Watching highly for a great adventure in Monterey Bay!

We went out on Monday 9/7 for the 12:30 and again on the 3:30 tours. Barbara and the other person (sorry I did not get your name!) who checked us in were fantastic! Barbara made us feel very special! We were redeeming rain checks given to us due to an unexpected delay in our ability to travel last week.

The process to board and off-board were efficient and cognizant of the COVID protocals. We watched staff clean the boat between the 12:30 and 3:30 tours, they were very quick, but efficient in cleaning all the high traffic areas.

The staff on the boat were excellent. Again, I did not get all their names but each and everyone was knowledgeable, approachable and genuinely interested in giving us the best possible experience. Our 12:30 tour gave us some very up close and personal encounters with two very friendly whales. The 3:30 saw some more mellow fellows just cruising along and feeding but still moments to remember for a lifetime.

All your efforts were truly appreciated in bringing us a day to remember and a very bright spot in what has not been a very bright year!

It was an awesome trip and well worth the money spent. There was an amazing whale sighting where the whale jumped out of the water like at a water park. My original plan of catching the sunset with the whales got cancelled but I was able to arrange it earlier on the day and I was notified early on the day in regards to why it was canceled to ensure I made it on time.

I specified on 2/13/2020 that this 2/15/2020 tour was to be booked with Princess Whale Watch. When I showed up at 9;30, they understandably did not any record of my reservation d the 10:00 cruise was sold out, I therefore will dispute the credit card charge as it was inaccurate.

An exceptional experience from beginning to end. The lovely lady who greeted us on the wharf gave us a warm welcome and helped us find a place to eat the lunch we had picked up at one of the lively wharf restaurants. The staff on the boat were very friendly. The naturalist was very friendly and knowledgable and encouraged us to ask questions during and after the whale sightings. The captain of the boat did a great job navigating fog-laden waters. But the whales themselves were plentiful and were surrounded by legions of playful sea lions and flocks of seabirds. It doesn't get any better than this. I highly recommend taking this cruise. Perfect in COVID times...very clean, with social distancing protocols in place. It's important to bring warm clothing to bundle up in, as offshore weather can be surprisingly cool in Monterey. Also, remember to book this trip well in advance, as some days fill up fast. You don't want to miss this one!

This will be our third trip out on the Princess Monterey. I arranged this trip for two of my grandchildren, and they thoroughly enjoyed themselves. My husband reported that the staff and crew was just as professional (and funny) as they were the first time we sailed with them. Accommodations were made concerning the Corona virus but it certainly didn't stop anyone from having a great time. Will be back again!

We’ve been on at least 5 whale watching experiences, and of course there’s a lot of luck to what you see, but in what they can control, this was probably as good as the any thus far. (We had excellent luck with whales too, including a great view of a blue whale.) The ship feels secure, well run, good visibility. It’s a larger ship which probably helps it manage swells relatively well. The extra $20 for the upper deck is totally worth it. The guide gives information but not TMI.
