Stayed on the other side of Asilormar and walked to the Beach. Parking is a challenge. However the beach is wonderful.

Monterey seemed a normal busy - but this 17 mile drive was stop and go all the way - we only went to Carmel and didn't attempt any further. Suggest going in the morning - avoid any where near rush hour.

This drive is filled with an amazing sceneries and little with nice houses and beautiful golf courses. The right time to visit is a clear and sunny day so that you can see the pacific and all the lush greenery around for a beautiful picture.

On 17 Mile Drive there are stops where you can get out and the shore is right there. Most places have handicap parking so bring your parking card

Yes, I believe the closest place to rent bikes is at Lovers Point Park (Adventures by the Sea). Also, bikes can ride the road for free!
