I took the 12 hour tour with Nancy Black and her team. We sailed the bay and I learned to sight for whales. Nancy was able to get us to several unusual sightings including an open ocean sea lion hunt with humpback accomplices following the hunt, killer whales hunting, humpbacks feeding at sunset while a baby played and breached multiple... This organization also does 8 hour trips to look at birds in the Monterey bay area. This is extremely worthwhile, as you get to see birds and whales as well. The guides are superb, and the boat stops whenever anything interesting is seen! We saw shearwaters, albatrosses, alcids, phalaropes, and skuas, as well as three different species of dolphin, fin... This is one of the most reputable whale watching outfits in the area and it's easy to see why. We stopped in to the office the afternoon before to book something for the next day. Staff gave excellent recommendations IE. This boat is really full, or has a lot of children on it, you'll have more room to move around... More

What a great trip with great people. I went whale watching with this outlet 2 years ago and unfortunately got so seasick I didn't get to see much. They were great then and helped me out and seemed genuinely concerned about me throwing up constantly. This time I got a scopolamine patch which worked wonders and had an awesome time.... More

We took a couple of trips as we were visiting from the UK and wanted to make the most of the opportunity. We got to see a Blue Whale right next to a Humpback, fin whales and thousands of Pacific White-Sided dolphins. We went on the 4 hour trip on Sea Wolf hosted by Greg and 8 hour trip on... More

My husband and I took our 1 year old and 3 year old on the tour. I really enjoyed it. We saw a humpback feeding and lots of dolphins the day we went out. The naturalist was very informative. I also liked that the put the daily sightings on the website. My husband and 3 year old were both were... More

Monterey Bay Whale Watch does an incredible job of safely transporting their passengers to a wonderful area to sight whales. It is narrated by a marine biologist and you learn so much about the animals of the sea. We sighted a Blue Whale, several Fin Whales as well as sharks and dolphins. Well worth every penny and a trip that... More

Excellent staff, eager to assist in any way to make trip pleasant. Passionate about marine life and the environment. The 3 hour trip passed quickly. We were fortunate to see 2 Humpback whales and 8 Fin whales that circled our boat! Another plus was everyone was asked where they were from. Was a thrill to share this trip with people... More

We did this trip on a Tuesday morning in September so it was offseason and quiet. The workers were all really really nice and laidback. They talked to us about motion sickness before we got on board. Make sure you take dramamine!!! It really did help a lot. The boat rocks especially of youre in the front. They had snacks... More
