I guess you cant really blame them - but what was saw during a 4 hour trip was no where like the pictures posted. We did encounter relatively many whales (humpbacks and even blue whale) but what you see most of the time is a grey piece of their back for 2 seconds followed by their tail for another 2... More

This is the trip of a lifetime. We saw hundreds of racing dolphins and different types of dolphins. We watched a breaching humpback for so long that the captain had to tell us that he would have to move on with the tour. Something that he had never had to do before. Racing dolphins are so special and sun fish... More

We saw an incerible amount of wildlife (humpbacks, dolphins, porpises, sea otters) and even the rare ones such as killer whale which was inceridbly close to our boat creating an unforgetable experience and also one sun fish. We attended 8am trip with only 15 other people. Plesant thing is that a marine biologist is on board and gives you plenty... More

Great trip and value for money. Saw Humpback Whales with tails out of water when diving as well as 'lunge feeding' (swim from deep under a shoal of fish by surface, open mouth, gulp fish and break ocean surface with mouth open) which were the two high lights. Also, seals, sea otters, albatross. No dolphins though. Advice - It's cold... More

We went on a four hour Whale watch and saw over 100 whales. Mostly humpback whales but we also saw 2 blue whales and a fin whale. Monterey Bay Whale Watch has nice boats and their crew were really great.

Booked a 9 am weekend trip on Blackfin, their catamaran that was previously based in Hawaii. Parking was at the Fisherman's Wharf car parking at $2/h and it was a short walk over. Checked in at their shop on the wharf just after 8:30am, paid for the tickets, filled in the USCG log book and waited with everyone else next... More

We as a family came back again this summer. The company has a new boat, the Black Fin, continues to run trips in the morning (seas are friendlier) early afternoon and sunset. The newest option are an 8 hour excursion and a 12 hour excursion.... chances to go farther off shore than their regular four hour trips allow. They continue... More

This was a trip highlight!! Blue whales and humpbacks, we saw 10 blue whales and 15 humpbacks in total...we were truly blownaway. We had friends visiting from Australia and all of us are animal lovers. We made sure to choose a service which respected the whales and was not treating this solely as a business and capitalising on the tourist... More

I can only give it 4 stars because 75% of the people in my family got seasick, throwing up several times. Regardless of how bad the situation was (most of the passengers threw up) the staff and crew continued to be helpful, and offered help to everyone. Not only that, but we had the rare chance to see a blue... More
