Had a nice atmosphere and every restaurant have a free sample clam. It is one restaurant after another. Choice enough to eat fresh fish or seafood. It's smell delicious when you walk through the street

It was a cool afternoon and we were heading to San Fran but thought we would grab an early dinner before hitting the road. We decided the old Fishermans wharf would be a great place to check out. As we walked out the wharf, trying what seemed like a hundred clam chowder samples we soon discovered this busy little place... More

Unless your looking for someplace to eat, probably not worth much more than a stroll through. There were plethora of nice seafood restaurants available to choose from.

Nice selection of restaurants and good views. Lots of seals around and whales out to sea. Lovely walk to cannery row then a very scenic stretch of beaches. Good whale watching trips to choose.

Lovely wharf and pier that pulls you in and has you exploring the restaurants and shops tourists converge on. Lots of people, and lot's of restaurants, offering everyone on the street a to try their clam chowder to entice them in. Try them all. Decide what fits your taste. Don't want to sit down? Get a clam chowder in a... More

Although we visit Monterey at least once per year, we make it out to the wharf about every third visit. Unlike the San Francisco wharf with many attractions, this is much more low key with shops and restaurants. For the glitzy tourist items, stick to Cannery Row. It is still worth a visit once in a while though.

Enchanting, A must but don't be in a hurry, Go early, stay late! Lots of shops and restaurants. Catch the whale watching if you haven't done it before. The glass bottom boat is also fun.
