My family (husband, two teenage boys) visit Monterey often. I wanted to do something more than our normal visit, so I booked this PARANORMAL tour. We all thoroughly enjoyed Gary's story telling and sense of humor. The history and local knowledge was especially interesting, as we also got a FUN history lesson on our tour of Old Monterey. Our VISIONS... More

Wow, I'm surprised at the overall satisfaction of most of these reviewers! If there was one word I would use to describe the tour guide, it's OBNOXIOUS! His misuse of the word "literally" at least 20 times throughout the tour (e.g. "He was literally swept under the rug.") in combination with the high pitched yelling and trying way too hard... More

Wow, Gary's knowledge and story telling was fantastic. He took us on quite an adventure around old Monterey. It was entertaining, while being filled with historical facts. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in ghostly tours, or historical facts about Monterey. My 6 year old's were both excited and even a little scared at times throughout the... If you didn't know that Monterey was steeped in History, you will after this 90 plus minute Trolley Tour. Gary, your driver/tour guide, takes you back to the mid 1800's where legends lead to haunted sites. He certainly has done his homework in researching documents about the tales and people that lead to haunted venues. You get to leave the... More

Gary sent me an email and asked me to give him a 5 star review on Trip Advisor. Umm....I don't think so. I was very disappointed. Gary considers himself an expert on local history and "ghost" stories. However, I found him to be arrogant and lacking in storytelling skills. Some of the information he provided was incorrect. As an example,... More

Sounds like Stacy doesn't like being asked to be please be quiet when other people are trying to enjoy the Ghost Tour of Old Monterey. A clear sign that heavy drinking before and during our Ghost Tour is not a good mix. I do remember Stacy almost yelling to the crowd that she was an alcoholic and needed a bottle... More

I wasn't sure what to expect, but it was really great. The driver and his dog Nugget made the experience very fun and entertaining. The tour guide is very knowledgeable and you can tell he is passionate about the stories he tells. We even visited a cemetery in the middle of the night which was kind of spooky.

My wife and I frequently do ghost hunting and this tour was exceptionally educational as well as unique. The refurbished trolley adds to the ambience of the tour. Gary and Nugget are both wonderful hosts. We both highly recommend this adventure.

We often do these ghost tours when travelling around the country and this one was great fun. We have never seen a ghost, but get a bit of history of the area. Many thanks for an enjoyable evening.

When we decided to visit Monterey over the Halloween weekend, we decided to try again to take the Ghost Tour of Old Monterey. The tour met not too far from Old Fishermans Wharf, a quick drive from Cannery Row. Gary showed up in his trolley approximately 15 minutes prior to the tour start time of 8 pm. Gary seemed very... Whenever my husband and I visit a city, we always find out if there is a ghost tour. I'm always up for a good little scare. The tickets for this tour were $33 each. It started at 8pm and ended at 9:30pm. The tour is conducted on a trolley by Gary. He is very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining. There is... More
