I'm glad we got there when the aquarium opened (9:30 am) on a Friday because by 11:30 it was so crowded you could barely move. The exhibits are great, although it was disappointing to learn that the jellyfish experience was a traveling exhibit and is no longer there. That was the highlight of our last trip, and the Baja exhibit... More

We took our grandson here for his birthday and had a wonderful time. The facility is huge and takes a good half a day to see it all. There is so much to see and do. The staff was very polite and knowledgeable.it does get pretty busy even on a weekday. I would recommend the aquarium to anyone young or... More

We approached this visit as a tourist requirement and 4 hours later left in a daze. There is an abundance of information in this place and beautiful things to see. The large tank is fantastic and deserves a look from every floor. Go early and do it backwards to avoid the crush.

The aquarium has lots of areas, and it was a really nice experience. If you are hungry, there is some food that you can eat, and there are lots of species of sea life over there. It is probably my favorite aquarium that I have went to. I went with 2 middle-aged adults and 2 children-one is 9 years old... More

It's here and it is done well. And I like the abundance of tips and information about how we can all help keep the oceans and sealife healthy. The exhibits are simply awesome. Worth the rather hefty $49 entry fee, although some of the motels offer a $10 dollar discount.

Very nice aquarium. Great place for kids and adults alike. A bit pricey at $50 per person but I would still go back.

Visited the Aquarium on a Friday. Great because it stays open later and offers live music, adult beverages and small plate snacks for purchase. Most of the families have left and there's a distinctly sophisticated atmosphere. Loved the live show on the tide pool deck and the video presentations in the auditorium. Got my discount ticket through the hotel. It... More

We went to the aquarium during our recent visit to Monterey. It was nice but very crowded and tickets have gone up quite a lot. Adults were $50, students were $40, We were able to save $10 / ticket by buying them at the hotel next door that we stayed at. Most of the feedings and special exhibits were too... More

The highlight of our visit was a trip to this top attraction. My 2 yr old was engaged and had a fantastic experience. The Kelp forest, jellyfish and sea otters were her favorites. The deep ocean experience was a little dark for her, and she was scared of the larger aquatic life here. A little expensive but worth the money.

I don't know if I can explain this awesome place with words but you really need to see what is in our Oceans to really appreciate the lives that is in it.
