Great beach!! We spent three nights is Montecito and enjoyed going to butterfly beach each day. Took a long walk on the beach.

Average beach. It appeared it was a dog beach and area for the younger crowd. Many homes on the beach, so I would imagine the beach is their park so to say.

This is an amazing site to go to watch the sunset. Viewing the setting sun through the palm trees is stunning. We were able to park alongside the road with no problem.

I love this Beach and the great wall to sit on or move to the sand and watch for the dolphins. This is one of my favorite things to do is watch the sunset at the beach or in Carpinteria and look for the dolphins as they are generally feeding. This is such a pleasant experience and is one of my special things I love to do. Icget so excited seeing the dolphins and sometimes they put on a show by jumping frivolously in front of you. It is all you can do not to swim out to them.

To the south of Santa Barbara the beach is a great mix of sand and cliffs and is a great place for a walk or just to take in the scenery. When we were there a whole bunch of artists were busy painting the scene. There are no shops of cafes and parking is in the road by the beach. So if you want somewhere more tranquil than the main beach in Santa Barbara I would recommend this.
