Have been coming to butterfly beach for 50 years. The best. Butterfly has gotten noticeably more crowded in recent years in the summertime. Parking mildly challenging on weekends. The best time of year is any time but summer, as all locals know. I had to finally review the beach, as one recent reviewer mentioned "no sunsets". Huh? Picture attached. No... More

Santa Barbara is an incredible place and Butterfly Beach is a top spot. Easy to park and walking distance to great restaurants, you should not miss it! Long beaches with soft sand make Santa Barbara a perfect spot for locals and tourists.

Enjoyed a pleasant afternoon here soaking up the sun and swimming. Finding a parking could be a problem as space is restricted.

Had a wonderful few hours at this unspoilt Californian beach. We were with 4 teenagers.... Took a picnic and drinks as nowhere near to get refreshments! Sea was glorious and kids spent a good while In the sea ! Definitely recommend!

I love this beach because you can wander and wonder. And, if you wish you can rent a kayak. The ocean view is beautiful. However, you will not see a sun setting.

Butterfly Beach is a public beach, across the street from the Four Seasons Biltmore. You can walk for a ways in either direction, and even as the tide gets higher it's fun to wade in. When we were there, the waves were pretty high, which was great for watching surfers and even doing some body jumping for the brave set.... More

This is the perfect beach for a long stroll on a beautiful day. We loved our walk (1.5 hours) so much that we took family the following day! Lots to look at and good sea glass territory!

This is a lovely beach across the street from the luxurious Biltmore Hotel. The beach is narrow. I would recommend it for a romantic stroll. Check out the restaurant at the Biltmore -- pricey but excellent view, food and service.

In the US! The beach is flat. Go at low tide and you can walk for miles and miles! Wear sneakers as its rocky in places. There's so much to see from the beach... Beautiful houses, beach cottages, dogs and their owners galore, painters working.. Just a wonderful thing to do every day while in Montecito!!
