My girlfriend stayed here for one night and had an amazing time. The grounds are impeccable. At one time this was just a Lighthouse, but over the decades has morphed into a hostel. It has a very old world charm, with Cape Cod type architecture. It is built on the cliff with amazing views of the ocean and the rocks... More

We stayed in Montara, CA and the lighthouse was a short walk from the house we rented. It is a beautiful old structure and the views are even more beautiful. The grounds are now a hostel for travelers. You can walk down trails from the bluff's to a small beach and explore the erosion, almost cave like, in the rocks... More

A very nice lighthouse located in Halfmoon Bay - there are many others, e.g. Pigeon Point, and you will meet friendly staff - and there's a good chance to see whales :-)

Cute little lighthouse with history display on the grounds of a hostel. Best visited on a clear day. Visitors OK, limited parking. There are picnic tables and benches overlooking the ocean. Located at 16th Street and Highway 1, Montara, CA.

We caught sight of the lighthouse while exploring the area after our arrival at a B&B down the road. After a little research that night we were happy to seek it out the next day. My husband and I have never seen a lighthouse quite like this one, the overlook was beautiful and this is definitely worth the quick stop... More

The lighthouse is now the location of a hostel. The lighthouse sits on a bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The view is absolutely beautiful. You can walk around the lighthouse, but the lighthouse is not open for tours.

I could stay in the place for hours staring at the ocean 😊 Beautiful scenery, so relaxing and makes you feel so thankful of being alive and seeing the beauty of it all. Wonderful view of the sunset as well. One could get good coffee at the hostel so a plus point for us as the temp outside was quite... More
