For a get away solo weekend trip, I rented a single room at the International Youth Hostel. Had some great conversations with other travelers. At low tide, hiked down to the beach. A nice benched area near the lighthouse overlooks a great expanse of the...More

The lighthouse is small and kind of underwhelming, but the views from here are stunning. You can see beaches and rocky cliffs and more. Worth it just for the views. Parking is at the Hosteling International parking lot.

We just stopped to check out the lighthouse. It's small and you can't see inside. We stayed about 30 minutes total checking out the area. Not a lot of parking. It's free!

Dorms and private rooms. My room looked out on a gloriously beautiful beach. Friendly and helpful staff. Well stocked kitchens. I loved it and will stay there again.

This small, functioning lighthouse was shipped here from Massachusetts quite some time ago. For some years after it was removed from its original location it was thought to have been destroyed, until it was rediscovered here. A row of signs telling its history is posted...More

not your Mama's youth hostel! For an easy getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city, this unique lodging complex is hard to beat: it's a mixture of Cape Cod architecture meets the dramatic coastline of Northern California. Our room (The Watch) directly faced...More

Cool little stop just had to figure out to get into the bathroom. A hostel on site. Nice small parking lot and plenty of picture spots.
