Easy to book online or to walk up. I’ve done both. Parking was $6 at the Jamaica bay inn. Non-valet so no tip necessary. Size of paddles make it very stable / hard to fall in. Life jackets provided. Friendly staff. Heading out of mother’s beach into the marina is super relaxing with the wind carrying you along. Heading back in is a nice vigorous workout paddling against the wind. Sometimes you’ll see sea lions chillin on the docks. I recommend two hours to paddle most of the marina and back. Takes about an hour and a half but if you don’t want to be rushing, esp in that last wind tunnel, two is playing it safe.

Incredibly fun, easy, affordable way to spend time in the water and sun. And for someone who gets nervous at the thought of sharks, I felt perfectly safe in the Marina. I recommend everyone try this. Pro Sup Shop was super friendly and instructed us how to properly paddle board. 10 out of 10!

My boyfriend and I took our dog paddle boarding for the first time and it was such a great experience. Pro Sup had a life jacket for our pup and everyone was so nice and friendly helping us throughout the day! We will definitely be back again since we had such a great time. Highly recommend if you're trying to get out of the house lately and want to enjoy the warm weather in MDR.

The ProSUP staff seals the deal. Everyone is happy and helpful. They make coming here a treat. The location could not be better. Right on the water, adjacent to a huge parking lot, next to a great restaurant. Who ever is managing ProSUP should be given a medal. The operation is perfection. So welcoming. Can’t say enough positive things about ProSUP.

We rented 5 paddle boards for my husbands birthday and tried paddle boarding for the first time. The staff were so patient and fun. They didnt make we old parents feel stupid trying this! Our 3 kids had a blast and took off without us, paddling around the channel. Main thing was the staff , who were really, really sweet to us. When we returned, they greeted us immediately and dragged our boards up the beach for us, and thanked us so much for being customers! Really impressed and will return 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The paddle boarding itself was a blast! Got a little lost coming back, but it was a beautiful day. We saw TONS of seals and watched lots of happy people drive by on their boats. I felt transported. The employee at the shop unfortunately was not wearing his mask properly. His nose was not covered, and upon returning, he greeted us with absolutely no mask at all. A real disappointment to see an employee taking the pandemic so loosely. Other than that, he was friendly and helpful.

First time paddle boarding, had a great time with my son (12). Will come back again. Purchased 1hr paddle boarding on groupon for $15 usually $25. Friendly and helpful. Not busy or crowded on a beautiful sunny Wednesday afternoon, day before Thanksgiving.

Taking a stand up paddle board lesson with Mike Sr of Pro SUP Shop was a great experience. Located next to Jamaica Bay Inn, this was an awesome place to try stand up paddle boarding for the first time. Mike Sr. is a fantastic tutor and I would highly recommend taking a lesson or renting a board next time you are in the area.... I know I will!

Fast and Quick service - highly recommended! It's okay equipment for a small trip and it is right on the beach with easy and cheap parking nearby.

Stand Up Paddling is all the rage now. Wether you want to paddle in the beautiful ocean for exercise, do Yoga while floating or increase your wave count, SUPing is becoming the thing to do. During any boom like this, a bunch of amateurs jump in to make a quick buck.
This is ABSOLUTELY not the case with ProSUPshop. These guys are the real deal. They are knowledgeable about all of your SUP options and still embody that genuine surf vibe that makes interacting with them a joy. Their pricing on rentals and used boards is fair and reasonable. The location is great for beginners who want to avoid paddling out through big waves.
All in all, highly recommended. Skip the amateurs and go to the Pros at ProSUPshop! They are truly stioked and generous.
