Our ride with them was amazing! They really looked after our safety and health as we went during COVID. Matt and Vinny were our boat operators and couldn't thank them enough for how they made the experience unforgettable! The atmosphere on the boat was amazing as they had music playing and walked us through every step before getting up in the air. We were required to wear masks the whole time while sitting in the boat but we were allowed to take them off once it was our turn to parasail. I appreciate them looking out for our health as well as the people we were on the boat with. I would highly recommend going to MDRparasailing if you are looking for something to do while in the area!

Ugh. It pains me to write this review because the parasailing itself was lovely and the boat operators were good guys. But this was a miserable experience all in all. There were 10 of us packed in like sardines on the boat, which normally would be fine but during COVID is really uncomfortable. I guess my fault for not confirming the ability to keep some space on the boat -- there was no way to keep any sort of distance. I had assumed that there were some sort of regulations on the number of people who could go out during times like this. I know restaurants have to seat like every other table. But again, I should have confirmed before booking. Again, a specific COVID related concern is that one group didn't wear face masks - they had entered the boat with weird like splash guard type of head gear (it didn't do anything in terms of covering the mouth/nose, and those came off pretty fast anyway). I wish that the operator would have insisted on masks. Normally I think that being outside lessens COVID transmission so I am not neurotic about others being masked if I am just passing by. But I was in close contact with these people for 2 hours. Not to mention they were tourists who had just flown in from East Coast. It all makes me uncomfortable at this point. I feel bad complaining because this would normally not be up to the boat operators to enforce, but I really do think they should have some masks on hand for those who don't have one. And it sort of goes back to the first issue that I wish they would take less people out at one time so we wouldn't be so squished together - then if people didn't mask up I wouldn't feel so at risk because of it. On to the next issue - we probably should not have even gone out because the ocean was super rough. I knew that I would get wet, like sea spray. But we were regularly hitting waves that dumped water in the boat - I was soaked from my top down. We took a sunset trip, and didn't get back until 830. It was miserable and freezing. So cold being soaked, especially after the sun set and it was super windy. If I don't get COVID from the sardine situation I will get pneumonia! I brought a blanket because I had suspected we would be chilly, but the blanket got completely soaked too (there is an area below the bench seats to store stuff that I had hoped would stay somewhat dry, but with all the water in the boat, everything was soaked). I feel silly complaining that I got wet on a boat - but I didn't realize it would be like a rough rider super soaking wet experience. The ocean was so rough that one of the people in another group was throwing up - I felt bad for her, and again, somebody getting seasick is not the boat operator's fault, but the ocean was so rough I don't think we should have been out there in the first place. That was my experience. I want to again say that being up in the air was lovely (the wind was a bit scary, but I assume that it was still safe). The guys operating the boat were nice and trying to do their jobs. Also, I have a friend who recommended this operator and had a great experience. But all in all, my experience was pretty cruddy.

We had a great time except the weather was not to our liking. We had a overcast & it was windy so I'd recommend brining a jacket. Otherwise, the whole experience was fun! Thanks to Peter & Andrew who made our parasail fast & efficient. Unfortunately, some people on our ship got seasick & started throwing up. Probably shouldn't eat before. We brought our own gopro & took amazing pics! Definitely going to go back!
