Malibu Wine Hikes is the perfect morning or afternoon for anyone who loves wine tasting and loves to hike. Our guide was Joe, who was so nice, he really made the morning fun and interesting. Lots of unusual animals to see on the hike (zebras, giraffe, llamas, to name a few). The hike is not strenuous, so even if you do not hike regularly, you will enjoy this outing. When you book your hike, I recommend you purchase the cheese/crackers/chocolate box ($25) to enjoy with your wine tasting. The description says it is for 1 - 3 people, but it could easily feed 4 or 5. The wine tasting takes place about 3/4 of the way through the hike. You stop at a nice covered area with tables and chairs set up, wine glasses ready to be filled. Three wines to taste: white, rose, and red, all of which were very good. This is a perfect unique gift to give someone or to just go because you want a fun time hiking and drinking wine.

We visited the venue this past weekend for a bday party. This wasn’t our first visit , pre covid we did the keep safari and it was amazing. Well safe to say everything even during a pandemic exceeded our expectations! Our hike tour guide was Will. He was very friendly, took pictures for our group, made jokes, he was awesome. Then Hailey was beyond awesome. We had our mothers with us and they couldn’t do the hike. Hailey charge and became the ultimate guide for our mothers. She held my aunts hand so she could make it up the hill till the jeep came and picked them up and showed them TLC from beginning to end. THANK YOU HAILEY !!

Spontaneously planned day trip to Malibu started off with a quick booking through Viator/Trip Advisor for this Malibu Wine Hikes for my husband and I. The weather was perfect for a hike through the vineyard and estate, and definitely larger than we thought. For those who don't want to do a crazy hike, but also can deal with a bit of uneven grounds and some ups and downs, then this is it. You get some frosé served next to some great views, and our guide was good about sharing some cool facts about the estate and surrounding areas while keeping everyone at a good and steady pace. Got 4 cans of canned wine at the end of it, and some fun photos taken during our hike to take along as part of another memorable day trip to Malibu.

Dylan was our guide. He was really fun and easy to talk to and had great stories to share. He made sure to include the whole group and have us feel as a collective. The 4 instead of 5 star is the wine tasting part. We were given mulled wine which we didn’t expect (nor do we like). We had hoped for a little bit more of a quaint taste, in a glass, not a paper cup and a snack for the price. So that was a bit disappointing and flat. The property is amazing.

Greg Gilman was our tour guide.

He has done an excellent job. We were the one two in the hiking tour and he was very patient, spending lots time with us. Told us the history of the 12,000 + acres vine yard. Showed us all the different types of grapes, when is the harvest time, how the water system works……We walked by the barn and saw many different kind of animals. He int them by names!! We really enjoyed the expansive views, natural rock formations, and the historic Cave he took us to see of the Four Horsemen which holds Chumash Native American cave paintings.

We had an unforgettable and wonderful hiking tour with Greg.

Malibu Wine Tours was a wonderful highlight of our May 2022 California Trip. Even the drive there, through the Malibu Mountains (Kanan Rd and Mulholland Rd) is incredible. Our guide Jeff, was fun and knowledgable. A "Stunt Man" by trade, Jeff operates the 4 Wheel Drive with great care and enthusiasm that accompanies his stories about the Malibu Hills, the vineyard, and his exciting personal life. The 4 by 4 tour included snacks, wine and plenty of photo opportunities. It's truly a relaxing and beautiful venue of 100s of California's most choice acres. 2 gorgeous weddings were on the huge property during our visit. As we drove the mountains and vineyards, we saw the bride and the gorgeous nuptials (from a non intrusive distance). It was something we will always remember. Malibu Wine Hikes is a lovely experience that needs to be part of any visit to the area.

Had a lovely afternoon on the ranch with Stephanie-- I especially loved hearing about the history of the land and seeing the Indigenous cave paintings dating back hundreds of years! The walk is doable if you have decent mobility, but there are lots of dirt paths and some hills. Not a lot of wine tasting or a guided tasting experience, but I appreciated getting a couple cans to go at the end of our hike.

We hiked for about an hour and a half with amazing views. Stopped at a Chumash Native American painted cave, petted some miniature horses and llamas. Had a midway stop at a barn-like structure to sip mulled wine in paper cups, sit, and chat. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. I was a little taken back when at the end of the tour, we were offered to take home two cans (4 oz each) of wine. I was hoping we would have some wine tastings in proper glasses. Overall, it was a great experience.

I received this Wine Hike as a gift from the holidays. I wasn't a wine person but I did like hikes. Not knowing what to expect, I decided to invite a friend that I haven't spent time with in a while. DANG, this was truly a magical experience! Our tour guide, Maddi, was vibrant, knowledgeable about so many things wine and beyond, and passionate. The hike was a mix of easy and moderate where you can get your heart rate up just enough. The views outstanding, the treat at midway point a gift, and the beauty of the vineyard breathtaking. I immediately thought of my next time around!

We absolutely loved our VW wine tour with Kurt! We booked this experience to celebrate our mom’s 50th birthday and it did NOT disappoint. Kurt was extremely personable and kind, as well as the best hype man and photographer. We loved learning some history, getting to know Kurt, and enjoying the tasty wines as we sang our hearts out to popular jams while cruising in the van. We couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better tour guide, and we plan to request him the next time we go. Thank you again, Malibu Wine Hikes and Kurt! Best birthday celebration ever!
