The Malibu coastline is like a chameleon. In some areas it resembles the French Riviera with its lush, green hillsides descending into crescent-shaped shorelines. In others, it feels 100% Southern Californian with beaches wide and flat as a football field, and often crowded with beach-goers lounging on towels and playing volleyball. Other coastlines still feel secluded, tucked under tall cliffs and dotted with stunning rock formations. In certain areas, where the ocean waves are just right, surfers can be seen bobbing in the water. Up in the mountains to the east hikers take in truly stunning views of the ocean and the sprawling Los Angeles landscape. And along Pacific Coast Highway, restaurants are filled with visitors and locals from all walks of life. Stumble into the right place at the right time, and you’ll likely encounter a celebrity.

Beautiful place to visit. Not a cloud in the sky, gorgeous weather, wonderful beaches and views to die for. Lucky ppl with tons of money to live here all year around.

It's a beautiful beach, but the idiots who live on Sea Level Drive act like they own Broad Beach and are very rude and hostile towards everyone that comes here. News flash idiots, Broad Beach is a public beach, that's why your gate is public access. If you have a problem with that, move your entitled ass's somewhere else and stop bullying everyone that comes down your street.

The beach is now narrow and packed. There have been numerous car break ins and locals are now keying cars. It's also now a trash dump with no bathrooms

Shockingly gross. Used to be nice but now too many people and lots of trash everywhere. Found a condom in the sand next to my towel! Beach not so "broad" anymore" so people are stacked all over each other. I won't be coming back.

Beach is gone. Water all the way up the rocks. Total waste of time. Should have just gone to Zuma where there’s a lot of beach left. Global warming sucks!

Incredible homes on this stretch of beach. The sand is softer than Carbon Beach. At high tide you cannot walk on the beach though. Parking is very limited.

This is my local beach. NO lifeguards, hard to find the gates but if you find them you have a wonderful beach that is normally fairly light in foot traffic. It’s a “dog friendly beach” in that no patrol come by so a lot of locals bring there dog. Erosion and housing of course has ruined a once dynamic shoreline but it is a still a small oasis between Zumba and El Matador state beach ( which are both pretty awesome for their own reasons).

12 years ago my wife and i rented a fabulous house on Broad Beach with our two young kids. It was one of our favourite times ever and we have just returned there with two rather larger kids now and their younger sister. It's a gorgeous secluded beach with Lion rock in the middle ( our kids named it) and although the public do have access to it, it's mainly the owners of the wonderful houses above that use it. Lucky people.

What more is there to say? If you are able to get onto this "beach" you probably will experience what the top 1% have. Just don't venture too close to their fabulous homes! Spectacular (for them). Envy for us?

We found this cool beach after stopping by the Vintage Grocers to get some good organic food lunch. Located in a quiet neighborhood and easy to find beach access this is a cool place for couples or families! If you have your pet with you at the beach be aware of people running or walking with theirs untethered. Many people get in the water no matter what the temperature is. It must be that cool refreshing feeling of the salt water and positive ions all around you! This beach is also great for skim boarding and walking. The sand isn’t loose it is tightly packed and perfect for biking too! Another great beach in Malibu that is always a pleasure any day of the week!
