My husband surprised me with a private trail ride for my birthday. We had the best time horseback riding with Talley and Cowboy Kevin! We felt like it was a double date with the best company! If you’ve never ridden horses before it’s ok, Talley and Kevin are great at giving instruction without making you feel dumb. The whole experience was just wonderful! Thanks Talley and Kevin for an unforgettable experience!

I love this place. The guides were very kind and listened to your needs. They had all different levels for each type of rider. The trails were fun and we even got to gallop a little. We had the option of the mountian rides or to ride on the beach. I highly recommend this place if love horses and enjoy beautiful scenery!

Talley and Mally? You can't write this stuff. Just rode with trainer Mally Lewis this morning through the spectacular mountains of Connemara Ranch above Leo Carrillo State Beach. My horse, Angel, was a gorgeous brown and white Premarin, which I learned is a gentle giant draft horse, and thus very unlikely to buck and throw you to the ground or off the cliff. Excellent good news. Owner Talley Hutcherson, and trainer Mally Lewis were so gracious and patient throughout. Thank you, beautiful ladies. A piece of Heaven. The only thing missing was the carrots I forgot at home. Sorry Angel. Next time.

This is a wonderful way to experience the natural beauty of Malibu. Talley, our guide, couldn't have been more helpful. She is an accomplished horsewoman who ensures both the safety of the rider and the horse. The trail takes you up into the mountains and affords the most spectacular views of this unique landscape. Something to savor and return to.

First if you look on the voucher site you see a rider on the beach . . this is not that ride. We got to a clearing and someone pointed out the water. You had to look hard to see it and that was the only place you could see it. If you are any kind of rider you will find this extremely boring. The trail was narrow and at times somewhat steep so all you cud do was walk. Talley had taught us how to stop a horse before the actual ride but she didn't tell us how to slow a horse down when it keeps trying to get ahead of the horse in front of it. I thought we should have been taught how to brace ourselves in the saddle when going up or coming down the trail. I saw an inexperienced rider sliding all over the saddle. The two guides were helpful and nice during the ride. Kudos to them. Talley did "not" go on my ride and I'm glad. I'm sure she's a fine horseman but she lacks patience and has no people skills in dealing with the public. She doesn't seem to realize that people who have never been on a horse need a little TLC. I saw someone ask a question and she gave that girl a look that wud freeze water. That girl had a right to ask a question no matter how many times Talley may have heard that same question. For the amount of money this was, a new rider would have more fun riding in a corral or at least on a wider trail at some Griffith Park riding facility and the more experienced rider would have more fun being able to put a horse through its paces again at a Griffith Park riding area for way less money.
