About
Featured in everything from a Beach Boys album cover to the 2015 'SpongeBob' movie, this beach is a Malibu hot spot known for its cinematic views. Jump into the water for some surfing, relax on the wide, sandy coastline, or take a romantic stroll along the pier, where Robert Redford and Demi Moore reconciled in 1993’s 'Indecent Proposal'. Paradise Cove isn’t the most accessible, but the public beach can get fairly crowded. You can rent a chaise lounge or palapa and dine with your feet in the sand at the Paradise Cove Beach Café, with friendly seagulls for company. – Tripadvisor

Paradise Cove is a speck of nostalgia on the otherwise glitzy and developed Malibu coast and beach district. Paradise Cove was the location of several movies including the infamous 1965 "Beach Blanket Bingo" movie as well as a popular beach location. When I consulted the web, the reviews for the restaurant were fairly mediocre in terms of the quality of the food and service. My experience was slightly better but I have certainly had a better meal for the price and I suspect the draw card is the location, not the dinning of shrive quality. The parking is expensive at $35 however, if you spent $30 minimum in the restaurant it is "only" $8 for 4 hours. Its easy to spend $30 so I would recommend a meal and take the cheaper parking option. What I did like about the place was the atmosphere, the beach and views along the coast. The old wooden pier is delightful and reminded me of the days when surfers would dodge the piles on their surfboards. So if you are after a quiet place which which has the atmosphere of a bygone era without the crowds I would recommend a visit to Paradise Cove.

Spent a day at the beach here. I recommend making reservations for the lounge chairs but we didn't and were still able to get 4 chairs next to each other. Double chairs are $100 on weekdays and we found it to be worth it. The guys that help with the chairs are fantastic! They lay out the towels for on the chairs and fix the umbrella to your liking
You can bring your own snacks and beverages but there is a Cafe. You go up to order and receive a buzzer to get the order when ready. The food takes quite a while so I wouldn't wait until your starving to order. An overall great day and will definitely return.

I love Paradise Cove! Apparently, there’s a lot of old school Hollywood history here. The interior is decorated with tons of photos documenting the many visitors of the cove over the years. Marilyn, the Beatles, and a tons of others have been hip to this spot. The food was amazing! We sat outside, toes in the sand and a rocks throw from the ocean. If you’re looking for a true Malibu experience, visit Paradise Cove. I’m definitely making it a part of my places to visit with each trip back to Cali and when I move back there, it will be a monthly, if not weekly trip. I love it there and you will too! Have a blast!

$45 to park here unless you eat to the restaurant then it is $10 to park but the restaurant is reservation only and or a long wait to sit outside and inside is very kitsch. The menu is basically fried crap, not a fine dining venue. However, the parking has a 20 min grace period that if you go there and don't like it you can leave with in 20 min for no charge.

After seating us, and waiting for 30 minutes, we finally stopped a host walking by to ask for water and when our server would be able to take our order. He kindly took our full order. Our server finally made it to us to let us know she was on a break hence the delay - which would have been fine had we not seen her several times serving other tables. Knowing service was slow after reading other reviews, I was fully expecting this. Any type of request asked was met with a 'no we can't do that'. Was expecting the drinks to come out with a bit more flair. Our drinks came out in plastic cups with pasta noodle straws. Different indeed. Food quality was just ok great considering the price. We ordered the popular calamari which was pretty bland. If you spend a minimum of $30 the parking is reduced to $10 which was nice. If your looking to enjoy a few drinks on the beach and you are not in a rush to be served, definitely the place for you. If you're looking for a decent meal, would definitely look elsewhere.

Actually any of the good beaches cost to park that’s the price of Malibu.
I have been going to paradise cove Malibu almost every other weekend it’s such a awesome place so what if it’s costly it’s a lot safer than some of there other beach very strict rules right now on wearing and I like that and we feel a little safer and free from being cooped up all the time and my grandsons favorite place!!
The staff and security are very good and if you don’t want to pay for parking just park outside on the road if you can find parking and get there very early on weekends. Great Job paradise cove Malibu !!!!!

I had dinner here with my family during a recent vacation in Malibu. While the location is very unique, the food was very subpar especially for the high prices this restaurant charges. My “fresh fish” was not fresh at all and a pasta dish we ordered bordered on inedible. Plus this place makes you pay for parking even if you eat here. It’s a racket and I’d recommend trying many of the other restaurant options in Malibu.

This is was one of the worst experiences I have had from a customer service perspective. I just contacted the manager simply to express my concerns about the information that was provided to us and the attitude/lack of attention presented by the host and beach attendant. His response was that he did not look over the beach side and there was nothing he could do for me from a restaurant perspective. We were misquoted a wait time by 1 1/2 hours which really set us back on our day. We ended up not being able to dine there and left our beach spot much earlier than expected due to the experience. There was never an apology offered or a concern to address the situation. We dine here every year when camping in Malibu. I am not sure if we will give them another opportunity due to this.

Cute little place to spend with family. We drive down to the unexpected. Parking lot for beach access during weekdays is $45 & weekends $65 if you don’t dine and validate at the restaurant. Validated, 4 hours will be $10 on the weekdays & $15 on the weekends. Ok let’s check out the beach. Cute little signs as you walk in, lots of umbrellas and restaurant with a view. Once you walk down to the beach I you see small beach area and lots of people, not much beach to lay out on. Lots of families, kids, & dogs. Yup dogs are allowed to swim here apparently. There’s a lifeguard on duty. Spent a few hours here, there are nice white lawn chairs you can sit and enjoy the view.

Once in the water, yeah that’s where this brought the review to almost one star. There are crashing waves, and in the middle of that plenty boulders your typer toes might get hurt by. Aside the crashing waves, this beach really needs some cleanup. There’s foreign things in the water and tons of seaweed/marine plants that will entangle every time the waves crash. The worst part of it all and which went unnoticed during our time in the water was the spots my daughter’s bathing suit and chest came back with. At first I thought it was seaweed but when the sticky stuff wouldn’t come off her chest as a mom I had to sniff, I realized it’s tar/petroleum spots! It smells just like the stuff city uses when they pave roads. I felt horrible I hadn’t realized that was in the water. Keep your kids out of these waters. On my walk I also noticed two ducts that are open and who knows what kind of water/waste ends up on this part of the beach.

If you go to eat ok nice vibe but then again idk what you’ll see in the water…

Whilst it may seem a lovely idea to visit such a historic location it must be said that just because it has been around for so long the decor doesn’t need to reflect this.

The fly screen to the outdoor area has a wonderful feature, that been as the server passes through the screen on occasion manages to brush the food and cross contaminate everything.

Be wary of the parking, once your in you ain’t getting out without paying.

Talking of paying.

It may be a good for you to request the server transact the sale at your able with the card reader.

It is a lovely location in Malibu but be wary of the pitfalls.

Obviously this has nothing to do with the establishment as it would be pure coincidence.

I have never been to Santiago Chile but my credit card made over $1500 of transactions in a 24 hour period within 12 hours of our Malibu visit.
