We had a great experience at Happy Trails Rental. My wife and I rented an RZR 1000 XP with the Dynamix suspension and had an awesome day. The owner, Ben, took time to explain all the features and also the trail we were going to be on for the day. We did 80 miles of off roading through Johnson Valley and all the trails we encountered were fairly easy especially with this vehicle that can pretty much handle anything in its path. We would love to come back and experience some of the more challenging trails. The GPS was very accurate and we didn't have any trouble finding our way around these trails. In addition to the side-by-sides themselves, the helmets and googles were great quality.

We rented from Happy Trails for the first time on February 20th. Ben runs a very professional operation. We were given a thorough safety walk through on the vehicles we would be driving, and also what to expect on the trails. Ben made suggestions on interesting spots to check out along the way. He made sure we were comfortable with the vehicles and route before sending us out. You can tell Ben enjoys his job and making sure his customers will enjoy their adventure and be safe doing it. The vehicles are all in great shape and the GPS us it’s worked as expected. I would highly recommend using Happy Trails for an exciting Mojave Desert ORV experience.

This was one of the best experiences ever! I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone and everyone looking to explore the desert in a fun/different way. It was only about an hour drive from Joshua Tree and totally worth it. The self guided tour was incredible and we were out for 2 hours, at our own pace. Absolutely worth the money and hope to get back there one day!

We did the Hercules Byway Loop while on spring break with our family. Our girls (ages 11 and 16) absolutely loved it! The scenery was beautiful and the drive was so much fun. Ben and Tony were amazing hosts. They were so friendly, accommodating, and made us feel safe. We would totally recommend this adventure as it was one of the highlights of our trip to the Palm Springs area.

My husband and I did the four hour ride and it was awesome! Ben, the owner, is very kind and helpful. His side by sides are in excellent shape. The scenery is gorgeous. We packed a lunch and Ben loaned us a cooler so we could stop at a pretty spot along the way and relax. He gave us a good overview of the machine and the landscape. We reserved the 10:30 time slot and I thought it was a great time to be out there. We saw one coyote and some birds. Saw a really pretty dry lake bed and lots of mountain and “rock mountain” views. A very fun day! Would recommend for families, couples, friend groups, church groups, and corporate outings.

Phenomenal experience!! The self-guided tour was easy to follow yet allowed the peace and freedom to really enjoy the surroundings. Staff was EXTREMELY easy to work with, great customer service, gave a great tour of the machines, and advocated for us having a great time. They were very personable and truly made us feel like we were required to have a good time :) Best UTV experience around!!!!!!!!!

Ben was thorough in his safety instructions and provided outstanding guidance for us first timers! The polaris' were brand new and reliable. I loved the self-guided tour as there were no time restrictions which allowed us to make multiple stops along the way. The scenery was amazing and there were a few shady spots to hang out at and have lunch.

My wife and I had such a great time it’s a hard to describe.
I saw another review that said, “If you’re contemplating booking, just do it”. I couldn’t agree more. You WILL NOT be disappointed.
Nice equipment, well maintained and easy to follow GPS guide of the route.
Ben and Tony run a first-class operation.
We certainly will make plans to go back again.

My husband & I did the 3-4 hour self guided tour & it was perfect amount of time with incredible views. Ben & Tony we’re awesome to work with and very knowledgable. We have experience riding in the woods but through the desert was even cooler! I’m so glad we did it!! Highly recommend!! PS thank you guys for going above &beyond with the honeymoon gift :)

We had such a great time on the SlashX Express tour. We rented two different RZR's to fit our kids and their friends. They LOVED it! The restaurant at the end of the trial was very welcomed. :) The owner, Ben is amazing. He's super kind and explained everything before we left. Great safety demos; we never felt rushed or nervous. Thank you for an awesome time Ben. Can't wait to do it again!
