About
As the first biodynamically farmed vineyard in Santa Barbara County, we focus on what counts: growing great grapes. We go beyond organic farming by treating the farm as a living organism, avoiding the use of herbicides, insecticides, pesticides, or nitrogen based fertilizer in our two vineyards. Based among the rolling mountains of the Santa Ynez Valley, our red barn winery, tasting decks, and duck ponds invite you to unwind in idyllic wine country just two miles south of Los Olivos. You can enjoy a wine tasting on our observation decks overlooking the vineyard, inside our rustic tasting room, or indulge in a private tour and tasting for a more intimate experience. Book a private gazebo for a quintessential picnic, where you can savor our wine by the bottle and soak up our vineyard views.

We had a wonderful wine tasting experience at Beckmen Vineyards. We were seated outside on their deck with lovely views of the surrounding vineyards and countryside. Our server, Levi, was very experienced and poured not only the standard tasting round, but two additional wines that we inquired about. We enjoyed nearly all of the wines we tasted, but we especially liked the Vouvray, the Syrah, and the Rose (that was one of the extra tastings).
Our tasting was complimentary because we had rented bicycles for the day from Pedego Los Olivos, and they recommended that we check out the winery. However, we purchased four different bottles of wine because we liked the wine so much! The wine we tasted was very high quality and worth the price. We recommend that you give this winery a visit while in the Los Olivos area.

We've always been huge fans of Beckmen, and even with all the COVID restrictions, they pulled off a great tasting experience. Sitting out on the back patio overlooking the vineyard made for a stellar afternoon. Brooklyn, who just arrived recently from Tennessee, did an incredible job of pouring our wines, talking about them, and asking for our feedback. Her passion was amazing for a young lady new to California and the wine industry. Debbie, the tasting room manager, made sure all her guests had everything they needed. Beckmen is a must stop on your wine trip.

Great winery! Not commercial, but very scenic and serene. Margaret was an exceptional host, and gave a perfect set of notes for each wine, which was more than some of our hosts at other wineries in the region. Of course, the wines were tasty as well!

Beware: no bathrooms for the public; only ports potty and a $35 wine tasting fee? Do not recommend for these reasons. Wine was fine. We had already paid a deposit for our group visit, otherwise, I personally would have left.

We did the Grapeline Wine Tour July 5, 2023 for our 26th wedding anniversary and Beckmen Vineyards was out first stop. We were met by Carlos - the Sommelier (that's fancy for wine steward). We enjoyed lots of restaurants, beach fireworks in Santa Barbra and delightful conversation with the other couple on the Wine tour but the highlight was Carlos.
This young man taught us more about wine in the 20-30minutes of conversation than I have had read/experienced in my lifetime. The beauty of this "crown jewel" at Beckman Vineyards was the passion, authentic excitement and true love of wine! He delightfully walked us through his journey in life to Beckmen Vineyards and I felt as though we were meeting something very rare and cherished in our hustle and bustle world of the 21st century - A TRUE CRAFTSMAN.............if your fortunate enough to get Carlos as your Sommelier send him our greetings and tell him that we exposing our taste pallet to gooseberries!!

Neil, the tasting room manager, greeted us on a quiet Thursday morning and spent plenty of time telling us about each wine he poured. The wines are lovely -- particular favorites were the Viognier, Cuvee le Bec (their GSM), Block Six Syrah and Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. We purchased plenty of wine. A definite stop when you're wine tasting.

Quaint and scenic winery. Has more of a cozy feel versus many of the other "commercial" wineries you'll find in the area. Great selection of wines, moderate priced, and lovely views to sit and enjoy. Staff was very friendly, especially Brooklyn who had lots of knowledge and added to the wine tasting experience.
Don't expect flamboyant entryways or cellars, or any of that grandiose settings which people expect on a first date to impress. Real wine, real people, great experience.
We took home a few bottles to continue the charming experience.

My sweetheart and I enjoyed a tasting at Beckman. Located in a scenic setting by a pond, the server was attentive and well versed in viniculture in general, and of course, the Beckmen wines in particular. I can't say we were blown away by any of the wines. The Syrah and Cabernet Sauvingnon were our favorites. However, this goes with the territory for those brave enough to practice not only sustainable but also regenerative practices guided by biodynamic practices. We feel it's well worth the premium to support those who support the health of our planet and ourselves.

Are you looking for an exceptional experience in the Los Olivos wine region?
Look no further than Beckman vineyards just down the road from Los Olivos.
During the past 12 years since my husband and I have been traveling to this wine region, we have sampled most of the Santa Ynez wines.
But there is one winery that continues to excel year after year. We have a long term wine club relationship with Beckman, and their customer support continues to be outstanding. (During COVID they provided on-line ZOOM tastings with the winemaker).
Go for a visit: Beckman will become your “go-to” wine for your house wine and for special occasions.

Discovered Beckmen wines at El Encanto at the Belmont resort in Santa Barbara and knew we had to go visit the winery. Winery is rustic but the service and wines are perfection. We ended up joining the club. Recommend their whites and the biodynamic Syrah.
