The Larners have a wonderful spot in the old gas station in the heart of Los Olivos. I actually remember when they sold gasoline there! Go and taste some of the finest wines the Valley has to offer and learn about wine-making from the guru of grapes and land, Mike Larner. After sipping try shopping! The shop is fabulous! Christine, Mike's wife is a fabulous artist. She paints with wine! I have started collecting her prints. They are beautiful. The shop is full to the brim with beautiful gifts and quirky finds. Don't take a quick glance in there, spend time. Incredible items seem to appear out of nowhere upon second and third glances. I have made many, many purchases there from thank you notes to an incredible hand bag. This place is a wonderful experience for all. You'll go back for more, just as I will!

Michael Larner is not only a craftsman of Rhone wines, particularly his red blend "Elemental," but he makes a very fine Malvasia. I don't normally care for the Los Olivos scene, but this is one of the nicest tasting areas, right in the Los Olivos General Store next to the central flagpole. The store features paintings by Christina LoCascio, an artistic genius who actually paints with wine and has both prints and occasional original works on display there. Don't miss!

Larner Winery Tasting Room and Los Olivos General Store are a treat for all the senses! Taste some of the finest wines that the Santa Ynez Valley has to offer and the general store is packed with lovely surprises. I couldn't stop buying things! Try the 2010 Reserve Syrah if there is any left..very special.

Smallest tasting room I’ve seen. Small number of wines available for tasting. Wines were good but the price point is very high. $15 tasting fee. Our server, Jenny, was excellent and made for an enjoyable visit.

Spent an amazing hour with Michael Larner, Owner / Winemaker in front of the General Store tasting some amazing wines. Los Olivos is as amazing place to visit in itself with shopping, food and over 40 wine tasting stops. If you go, do not miss the opportunity to stop in at Larner. The Store has some very unique items and again, the wines are amazing. A not to missed stop

The tasting room is deceptive. It's small and attached to the general store. But don't let that deceive you. We really enjoyed our tasting here. The woman who served us (I'm blanking on her name...) was incredibly knowledgeable. She answered every single question we had. Michael Larner even came into the tasting room, and he spoke to my husband for quite a while. I highly recommend a tasting here. You won't be disappointed.

Wonderful little tasting room that expands onto an inviting patio. The reserve Syrah was very lovely. On the same property is a great little gem of a store with local products, jewelry, and whimsical gifts.

It's just ok. It was a little room. Maybe 5 people could fit at the counter. The picture of the chairs are misleading since you can't take the wine outside due to licensing. The girl seemed pleasant enough but was busy chatting with the other people next to us. Seemed like they were friends or something so she didn't spend a lot of time explaining anything to us. Also, no restrooms in the place. Tiny counter.

Hi Mooki x,
We would love to invite you to visit us again for a hosted tasting outside! We have our tables and chairs officially set up now. When you visited with us in June, we were in the process of having our outdoor seating permitted - we apologize for the inconvenience. Panino's restaurant is right next door to us. Many of our patrons will order lunch from them and bring it over to our space to enjoy a glass of wine with their delicious food. If you find yourself back in Los Olivos, we invite you to come back to Larner for two complimentary tastings. We strive to create a friendly atmosphere for everyone who walks through our door and we apologize if you felt that you were not properly attended to. We hope to see you again.
Cheers and Happy Holidays,
Emily Dixon
