About
Passionately focused on Rhône varieties, Andrew Murray has consistently crafted highly acclaimed red wines and white wines in the Santa Ynez Valley for 20 years. His Viogniers, single-vineyard Syrahs, and blends led Robert Parker, Jr. to refer to AMV as, “…one of the shining stars in the Santa Barbara firmament.”

A must stop on the Foxen Trail, this contemporary winery puts out solid wines and is part of our group of wine clubs that keeps our cellar stacked! Each year Andrew throws a big party of tasting, food, music and opens up some vintage bottles for his members. Cool guy doing the right thing!

I especially love the once year release of Cinsault and am excited to get up in February to taste and buy some of the new Rose' Esperance made from these grapes!

Andrew Murray Vineyards is right next door to Firestone. It's located in the old Curtis Winery tasting room. I loved all of the wines I tried at Andrew Murray. The tasting room is very modern; the grounds outside make you feel as if you're right in the middle of wine country - vines and towering trees everywhere. If you're headed down the Foxen wine trail, I think Andrew Murray is a must.

I loved this wine so much, I joined their club. I had never done that before and I have not been disappointed.
The staff is very friendly.
This is also a very good spot for picnics.
Pick up a sandwich in Los Olivos and enjoy the wine here!

We asked the server at Zaca Mesa which winery we should next try. He suggest either Dimitri or Andrew Murray. We tried the later and was it ever a FIND!

Some may remember it as Curtis Winery. But Curtis is gone and Murray took it over. We sampled 5 incredible reds and one surprising white (Enchante), any of which would make your wine tasting day totally successful.

Andrew Murray Winery is now one of our must stops on our Santa Ynez wine tastings.

Andrew Murray has some fine wines. Andrew himself and his wife were are both very friendly and engaging at their wine member events. Unfortunately after a few incidents involving Marlene porter I have recently cancelled my wine club membership. Things happen in life and people should not be treated so poorly. I will continue to rave about their wines but it hurts to say that I recommend you do not join their wine club until they get somebody that understands the term "customer service" running their wine club operations. Good luck Andrew hope you continue to crank out wonderful wines. My 1/5 score is based solely on the events leading to me making the hard choice of cancelling my wine club membership which I have had since the days of the actual card they gave out to wine card members. The wines they produce here are quite wonderful.

The first impression of this winery was quite good as the location is quite nice. The outdoor area is beautiful and well shaded by oak trees. I was looking forward to the wines as I had heard good things, but I wasn't so impressed. First off, the waitress gave me tiny pours of each wine. Probably the smallest pours I've seen at any winery I've ever been to. Maybe three small sips. It was late in the day, so maybe she was just trying to get me out of there quickly? Not sure, but the pours were offensively small.

The wines themselves were just ok. The Grenache tasted just like Grenache should, but there was nothing particularly distinctive or exciting about the wines. I got their standard tasting with 5 wines. The Viognier was my least favorite, the Grenache, Mourvedre and GSM Blend were just meh, and the northern Rhone style Syrah was ok but not great.

Might be worth one try if you like Rhone-style wines but I won't be back.

Andrew Murray Vineyard is in beautiful Santa Ynez wine country. This winery is nestled into the hillside, beautiful and has some truly amazing wine. Andrew Murray can often be found at the winery as he is engaged and dedicated to making amazing wine. We had the opportunity to taste wines in his company and see the wine through his passion. His new releases are amazing. I tried about 7 different wines and each came with an amazing story and wonderful tasting. One of my friends during the wine tasting remarked: "...usually at wine tastings, I like some of the wines, but here I loved them all. They were each unique and amazing." I think that about sums it up. Highly recommend visiting. From LA it's about 2.5 hours, but the drive is beautiful as well. We stayed in Solvang on this trip. Just a big thank you to Andrew for giving us this experience of great wine and hospitality.

The modern style building was unexpected but was very nice. There was a small table for our wine tasting. The person serving the wines seemed busy although there weren't many other people who even came in. She would pour the wine then go back to the counter. We were able to ask a few questions but were mostly on our own. There is a very nice picnic area that was a great place to eat our lunch!

I have been on multiple winery tours, this was one of the very best! Megan, was the guide, she was knowledgable, personable and professional. She had great insight and shared the process of winemaking from the vineyard to the glass. Her ability to share information in a concise and relatable way was very impressive. The facility was clean and everyone seemed very friendly and engaging. Being a Certified Sommelier myself I really appreciated the mostly Rhone Varietal wines.
