Our Santa Ynez Valley winery tasting room offers one of the Central Coast’s most comfortable and comprehensive visitor experiences, including daily winery tours and extensive picnic facilities. Archive photos and other artifacts chart the Firestone family’s pioneering heritage, from turn-of-the-century tire innovation to the establishment of Santa Barbara County’s first estate winery in 1972. The recently remodeled tasting room features an island bar and picture windows that overlook our estate vineyards. We strive to offer an informative and welcoming atmosphere that will appeal to wine enthusiasts and novices alike. Our free daily tours guide you through the history of the winery, and through the production of fine wine from vine to glass. Tours begin at the demonstration cork tree and continue out into the estate vineyards. The winemaking process is then showcased from the crush pad to the fermentation cellar to the barrel cellar. Tours typically last between 20 to 30 minutes, depending on the volume of guests and depth of questions. Tours depart daily at 11:15 a.m., 1:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.

My wife and I were very excited about visiting this winery based on its history. When we arrived, we were told that they had lost power two days ago and were adapting to serving their wines outside. (They were the only winery effected by the black out.) That also meant that we were unable to visit their wine making facility... More

The winery has a very nice ambiance and is ideal for a group visit. But when I had a reserve tasting from a middle-aged woman employee, the wine pour was extremely conservative. Unfortunately, this seemed to affect the impression of the wine.

This was our second visit to the winery. The first visit was mostly because of Andrew Firestone's appearance on The Bachelor. We learned that they sold the winery and are now focusing on beers. They suggested a bar and we ended up going. Always friendly and just some good wine to have while taking in the view.

Peter led our tasting. We chose the White wine version vs. red wine. He rolled our glasses sideways- releasing fragrances of each wine. The tasting room had a lovely view of the Santa Ynez hills. We enjoyed our tasting and felt no pressure to buy or join anything. The roses were exquisite, and Firestone wines are also available for purchase... More

Randomly we arrived at Firestone Vineyard. Waves had us arriving at the actual vineyard. Be patient and go a little further. The setting is beautiful. Lush gardens as you walk into the tasting room. Located on a small hill with vineyards surrounding the area. Wines are tasty and moderately priced. Joining their wine club you get benefits at sister vineyards... More

We got here early, and were the first ones there. The service was prompt, they offered great wines as well as a free tour hourly. We bought a few bottles from this place and stayed for a little bit. I would definitely come back.

Firestone is no longer one of the better wineries in the Santa Ynez Valley. They used to have an excellent Merlot and usually a pretty good Cabernet Sauvignon. Not any more in my opinion. On this last visit, the only wine that we thought was good was the 2014 Reisling, which was on sale for $10.50 a bottle. My wife... More

Stopped here 10 yrs ago and wanted to see it again. The pourer was fancy on that he showed off the wine's color by pouring wine in the glass, turned the glass sideways on the bar and rolled it down the bar toward you and back again. Friendly guy. No crackers for palate cleansing. Beautiful peonies in the garden area
