We were told at the Solvang visitor center that the Fess Parker winery had great wines and a restaurant. We discovered that they do not have a restaurant but do allow outside food. The wine tasting is about fourteen dollars and they provide a lot of information about each pour. Fess Parker played both Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone in... More

The ride to the winery was the best part. The views of the countryside are beautiful. The winery itself is in a beautiful setting. But the attendants in the tasting room were not of the quality we have experienced elsewhere.

Arrived just before closing but two in our party were able to enjoy the wine tasting. Small but tastefully decorated area where you can enjoy your wine or take in the beauty of the area. Lovely stop.

Worth the drive from Santa Monica (about 2 hours). The setting is stunning. It was very green due to the time of year and the recent rain. Reminded me a bit of the Lake District in England. Delicious wines. Sampled about 6 in total expertly explained. Great setting. Would bring a picnic if we went again. Thanks!

First visit here. Recommended by friend who knows vineyards & operations. They are clearly experienced, know what they are doing. Remote, out of the way but well worth a visit and try.

Outstanding grounds with large picnic area. Tasting room is large and staff is friendly. There are pictures of Fess Parker as Davy Crockett and you can by a coonskin hat wine cover. $14 tasting fee which was rebated in our case as we bought wine. There chardonnays are excellent and I also enjoyed the Traditional American Reserve Syrah.

The winery is pleasant. The staff is great. The tasting is a little pricey at $14 and the wines are even more expensive. Would be nice to see more info on Fess displayed.

We visited on the afternoon of New Years Eve, and enjoyed the very good wines and the spacious tasting room. The grounds are lovely, with nice outdoor seating areas for warmer days. They offer some very good wines, and the staff is knowledgeable about the winery and the offerings. The tasting fee is reasonable and waived for each bottle of... More

I had been here a few years back though went again with my wife this time and we both loved the wines. The staff was super friendly even though it was busy. They also poured a couple of wines that were not on the list which is always fun. One of the wines was a pinot, i think it was... More

Guess it's been too long since we were here. $14 for tasting of 6 wines and it's primarily whites. Folks were nice, but we remember wonderful reds and sweet wines. Too pricey for me, and to buy wine was really expensive, in my opinion. We didn't stay.
