We took our friends wine tasting on a Friday morning recently, we started with Fess Parker - which was great! Jack a long term employee there served us wine and wonderful histories of the vineyard and of Fess. Lovely place and we loved their wines-...More
The grounds for this winery are fabulous. You can taste the traditional way - step up the to bar and have them pour. Or you can sit outside and have them come to you. We sat outside and they came to us. We brought a...More
This place brings back memories of watching Fess Parker as Daniel Boone and Davey Crocket on a little black and white TV as a kid in rural Ohio. Anyway, the grounds are gorgeous, the facilities are spotless and the people are friendly. The wines are...More
We have visited this winery every time we come to Santa Ynez. It's a beautiful winery. We always reminisce about Davy Crockett and Daniel Boone. Fess Parker was one of many Hollywood actors who had a dream besides acting and succeeded like Fred MacMurray, Kurt...More

Handsome architecture & landscaping enhance a consistently good tasting experience at this friendly family enterprise, one of the oldest in the Valley. It’s a short scenic drive to reach its site near Los Olivos. Definitely put this on your list to try.

Wish we could give you some stellar advice, but we have not been to Firestone, so.....However, we have been Fess Parker and would highly recommend it. Try to make it around lunch and bring a bite to eat. The grounds are gorgeous, the wine very nice and the staff very friendly. I don't think you will be disappointed. Miki "This is the Life" Winer

I concur with cr8it. We stayed across the street from the lobby and faced the street. Activity is low and the room was quiet. The rooms are excellent as is the service and food. We were in the building with the pool and spent some time there having snacks and wine. The Inn is a great visit as is the winery.
