We celebrated my dad’s 85th birthday at Byington. Molly Patrick organized a wonderful event for us - a group of 28 family members. Molly was at the entrance to welcome us when we arrived and gave us an interesting and fun tour of the vineyard, where we had the chance to taste the delicious wines produced at Byington. My favorite part was being in “the cave” where the wine barrels are stored.
The setting of the vineyard was just beautiful. The lounge and patio, where the birthday celebration was held, were elegantly set up. Molly selected the perfect trio to play music for our event and did a great job with the layout of the tables and decor. We chose Spanish cuisine that was freshly prepared in our presence and was absolutely delicious. Molly and her team were present throughout and made sure that the event flowed smoothly from start to finish. I’m so glad that I made the decision to go with Byington amongst many other vineyards that I was considering and grateful for the excellent service provided, making this event very enjoyable and memorable.

We love Byington: The wine, the land, the staff, the owner, the experiences. We are so grateful that this amazing place did not experience loss of land, structures or it’s beautiful surroundings in the recent fires. The ripening grapes hopefully are sound and safe from smoke as well.
During Covid-19 we cannot experience the full glory of the tasting experience but thankfully Byington still allows us wine club members time on the beautiful grounds with a purchase of a lovely bottle of our choice. Well worth a membership!
We celebrated safely distanced from others, having an almost “normal” birthday celebration with family for our son. Hang in there Byington! Here’s a toast to a return to tastings soon! Fingers crossed. Deeply grateful for you all.

We took the 45 minute tour of the facility with the wine tasting. We came in mid February (I guess it was a slow time) and were lucky enough to get a private tour. I’m afraid I forgot our tour guide’s name but she was a retired educator and was excellent. She explained the wine process and showed us the equipment. The highlight was the tour of the cave where the wine is aged. All the wine was delicious. I would definitely recommend.

This local winery and vineyard has amazing views of the valley and picturesque beauty. Walk the vineyards through the fields while you sip from a glass of the estate Pinot Noir. The main building hosts the wine barrels. This is a family-friendly place with a cornhole board and giant Jenga available in the courtyard. They do host weddings with a designated spot overlooking the mountains and valley. NoMoneyTravelGuy rated: 8 out of 10 fingers.

I am a member of this winery and today I went in to return 2 bottles of red wine that were not good and 1 cork that had failed. The new tasting room manager Sarah helped me with the problem and sent me home with 2 new bottles of red wine of my choice and 1 of a white that also had a cork failure. She dropped everything else that she was doing and helped fix the problem and treated me with outstanding courtesy, concern and professionalism! Thank you again Sarah!

Earthquake in Napa changed our plan for wine tasting, and we ended up in Santa Cruz Mt. Savannah Ch was nice, but we were looking for higher quality wine. We stop at David Bruce and had the worst experience. Bellow average wine and the staff had no knowledge. It's was like getting wine from a vending machine. We were very disappointed till we stopped by Byington. The staff were knowledgable and friendly. They were looking for ways to say "YES" to customers requests. We had a nice picnic and spend about $600 on wine to take home and share with our friends. We will recommend Byington to everyone we know. I have to mention that Leslie was wonderful and her positive attitude and hospitality was the difference maker. Thank you

This place has a fabulous view and a beautiful building. Very suitable for small weddings. The wine is only so so. Good but over priced. You are paying for the view. Suggestion is to end your wine tasting here with a picnic lunch. Nice outdoor tables.

Sad face emoji. We're sorry you didn't care for our wines, but are glad you recommend us for our outdoor space. To be fair to us, a number of our wines have received multiple awards at the San Francisco International Wine Competition. As per price, while it would be wonderful to have lower-priced wines; there are significant costs involved in hand-crafting artisan wine. All our grapes are picked by hand, lovingly crushed, cared for for years, aged in barrels that we source from Europe and the U.S., and bottled onsite. We are also green - in addition to our grapes being nourished by the sun, our winery is powered by our solar panels. Our estate vineyards are premium and ultra premium vineyards. Did you know you could legally add 2000+ additives to wine to affect taste and color. We add only 1 to help preserve the wine. Much goes into sustaining the wine production business in addition to maintaining the property that guests enjoy every weekend. We don't want to scare you with the cost to repair the chiller when that goes out - that keeps our wine at suitable, sustainable temperatures! Hint: it's magnitudes higher than fixing a residential AC system!!! If anything, we might argue the wine is under priced! There is a whole lot of value and goodness in every bottle we lovingly craft.

I can only recommend this winery. Great wine, beautiful location, wonderful staff! You don’t have to drive to Napa, it is just right here in Silicon Valley.

Byington hosted a group of 40 of us -- the location is great, closer to silicon valley, the views beautiful and the tour engaging, intersting but not too long. I enjoyed the wine too -- ended up buying a few bottles.
