Byington Winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains is a great place to visit, enjoy their wines and have a picnic. A bit of a rough drive but worth it in the end. Always take a designated driver especially in bad weather.

We went to Byington in Santa Cruz as the last part of our "winecation" and thank god we did! We spent a few days in both Napa and Sonoma in great joy - but going to Santa Cruz and Byington Winery was an extraordinary visit!...More

This winery is a little off the main routes in the area, but is worth a side trip. It's one of the nicest (if not the nicest) wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains. The estate is beautiful, the staff that pours is very easygoing and...More

Byington staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. The tasting room was very nicely laid out and the patio area very nice with shaded tables. We took a stroll after tasting in the vineyard area and were really impressed.

They hosted a complimentary recognition for all of those responders to the Bear Fire last October. It was a wonderful gathering and very much appreciated, they put on a great spread and shared their fine Wines.

This is a fun place to go wine tasting. Sometimes they have live music outside, and you can buy a bottle, sit and listen.

The road up to Byington can be a bit windy, which allows for amazing views. When we arrived at the winery however, the views were even more spectacular. This is the perfect place to get a bottle of wine and sit outside overlooking the valley....More
