Danny was an awesome instructor; our 12 yo daughter was catching every wave by her second session while her significantly older father was… well… trying his best.

If you desire a tourist trap surf lesson go to the boardwalk and book with everyone else. If you want the authentic Venice experience of walking to the beach with knowledgeable and talented local instructors—surf with Nick and the Aloha bothers. We booked twice this week and had the most epic time. I took my little brother and his mother (I think I am one step closer to successfully convincing them to move here now), and our instructor Taylor crushed it! He was patient, chill, and perceptive of modifications of our form to enhance our surfing. We are grateful to have found these guys!!

First of all, just getting set up for the lesson was a great experience, based on the fact that the owner (Nick) went out of his way to get a friend and myself set up with the best possible accommodations. The instructor (Bau) was awesome and did a really good job of emphasizing the fundamentals while also stressing safety. I had such a good time during my first lesson that I’m planning on making it a regular thing.

My best friend and I decided to take our first surf lesson on Memorial Day! Nick, owner/instructor, was fabulous. His instructions were in riddles which helped to remember every movement require for success. He was patient, encouraging, funny and super fun to banter with. A great day! Had I stayed in LA longer we would have taken lessons everyday. Thanks, Nick!
