Reviewing a cemetery?! Well, if I have to review one, this is it.

For such a small and concentrated piece of land in the middle of one of America's great cities, it was incredible just how quiet and peaceful it was. The lawn is also very well kept and it is a clearly very respectful final resting place for those who have been laid to rest here.

Then of course are the names themselves - a veritable who's who of 20th century entertainment. Marilyn Monroe and Dean Martin are just two of the big hitters but for me, the greatest of all is the 'Big O' - Roy Orbison who lies in an unmarked grave. But just knowing that he is there is enough for this big fan.

Much more accessible than many other 'celebrity cemeteries' in LA, this is a must visit for those who, like me, have a natural pull towards such places.

We were passing so took the opportunity to visit again as it had made such an impression when we visited 3 years ago.
A peaceful escape from the madness of LA ths small shaded cemetry is small enough to explore in an hour..
Unfortunatly since our last visit Hugh Heffner has now taken up residence next to the lovely Marilyn Monroe securing his memory/place in history with $$$s. Poor Marilyn would not have approved, he paid her just $50 for the nude photoshoot when she needed the money. Years later he then used those pics of the now famous Marilyn on the front cover of Playboy's 1st edition without paying MM any royalties. (Not a fan, he used women)

If ypu get the chance visit, its tricky to find but well worth it! The entrance is nartow, between tall buildings and you think you are entering a car park but just before the carpark entrance you turn shatp right into the cemetery quadrangle where you can discretly park up.

My wife and I, while touring LA, wanted to visit a cemetery containing some of America's most notable Hollywood treasures. In particular, I wanted to pay respects to my favorite character - Lieutenant Columbo. We found Peter Falk, along with several other favorites, in The Westwood Village Memorial Park. By any means, this is a small cemetery, no larger than a few blocks that can be easily traversed. The trick is finding the entrance, as it's unmarked from the street. The GPS takes you to a parking lot entrance; the cemetery is in back of the garage lot, and is nestled amongst the skyscrapers. A security guard will meet you at the entrance and ask your business, but was very cordial in letting visitors enter. I got a map on line to help find the celebrities. Among some of the stars besides Peter Falk - Jack Lemmon, Don Knotts, Dean Martin, Beachboy Carl Wilson, Marilyn Monroe, Merv Griffin, Mel Torme (The Golden Fog), and Richard Dawson. "Just one more thing" - add this stop to your touring itinerary.

This is a cemetery. A friend visiting from out of town wanted to go to see a few celebrity graves. Always trying to be accommodating to someone from out of town I took her. She was bored after 5 minutes and I was bored parking the car.

It is a cemetery. If you don't personally know someone who's buried there or interned there I'm just not sure the point. Yes, there are celebrities in mausoleums and in the ground and you can leave flowers and you can visit.

This is the second time I have been asked to take someone there and it is my last. Life is too short to waste my time at a cemetery that houses people I do not know, never did know and who have no idea I am there. but if you're into this sort of thing have a great time. It is rarely crowded.

My husband and I spent a pleasant morning wandering around this cemetery paying our respects to famous people buried there. Google a map to help you locate various gravesites. The cemetery is very small and tucked away behind buildings. You enter through a driveway on either Wilshire (go slow, it’s easy to miss) or Glendon Avenue (again, go slow because you think you are driving into a private driveway). This is a peaceful spot with understated memorials.

So this is the second time I have visited a cemetery in search of celebrity graves. The other was in San Francisco to find Bruce and Brandon Lee’s graves. This is a very small cemetery but they have optimized the space they have. I wandered the entire place and it took about three times longer than I expected. I found most of the graves I was looking for without help. I finally had to go into the office and the nice lady there pointed me to the last one I was looking for. There were some I didn’t expect to see which was nice too.

A quiet, beautiful cemetery that is surrounded by tall buildings and hidden in busy Los Angeles.
It is a must-see visit for fans of the movies and TV.
The stars are here but be very respectful of everyone who rests here.
Not everyone is a star, and privacy matters for loved ones.
Photography is allowed, but not video.
The staff is great and helpful.

Lots of celebrities are here at Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park. Very serene and pretty. I was staying with my aunt around the corner from where Marilyn Monroe was living when she passed away. I remember everybody was very sad. I was quite young.

I enjoy traveling the country and seeing the resting places of many celebrities. My main focus is on musicians, but I also find it interesting to see other celebrities as well. I read a lot about Roy Orbison and visiting his unmarked grave was my main reason for visiting, but I also found came for the rock legend Frank Zappa as well. I enjoy visiting these places and creating tiktok content under the name @ubermike615. The parking is easy and the list of celebrities laid to rest here are plentiful. Just remember to be respectful as this is not a Tourist Attraction.

Visited here to see some of the celebrity graves. It is a little hidden away and it is a very calming peaceful place. Quite a few celebrities buried here. Some graves made me a little sad as quite plain. Definitely worth a visit.
