Neighborhood: Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

The Crypto, com Arena used to be Staples Center. Nothing has changed but the name.

If you are going to basketball or hockey it is great place to see such sports.

If you are going to a concert it is above average and so much better than the huge stadiums that are just awful.

The sound system is very good for a concert. It holds thousands of people so it is going to be crowded. They have top acts there and many of them sell out very fast. The staff is very nice and can help you. They have a no bag policy and you get a special line if you do that. If you bring a clear plastic bag they will let you in, you will just be in another line which is longer. I suggest you get there early.

Parking is a bear in that you will be walking up to a block if you are not there very early. They have parking, but some of it is around the block. The parking people seem confused and are not much help.

The food there is above average, all the junk food you may want. They also have a bar on every floor.

The seats are a little small and plastic so they are not the most comfortable, but they are fine.

Use the restroom before you get there or as soon as you get there. There are not enough, especially for women, and the line is long.

We have been there for many events. I do like it and I think you will as well.

When do the Kings hockey game was awesome, our seat in PR 12 needs to be flagged as a obstructed view. That part was disappointing. Lots of technology in the scoreboard area area around the park. Extremely busy so if you want dinner before budget enough time, an hour and a half was not enough for us to get a seat. Some of the side parking lots right about 20 bucks the main ones go 60 to 70 so if you’re up to five minute walk drive around the arena.

We saw the Harlem Globetrotters in the box suite and it was fantastic! The Crypto (formerly Staples) Center was really nice. Parking was super simple and purchased ahead of time in Lot 1. I highly recommend getting that Lot because it’s super close to the stadium. We had VIP entrance and there were many good options as we made our way to the suite. Practically no lines. We will definitely be back to check out more games and concerts! Our teenagers and young kids loved the experience as well.

I made an appointment to have a tattoo done for a specific date, I called back to move the date so I would be able to have the tattoo artist of my choice after reviewing their IG accounts. A woman answered and sounded very confused then she handed the phone to a gentlemen who confirmed that my appointment was moved to the date I requested. I got there early to ensure I respect their time to find out that the "manager" said he did not have me down for that day?? He begin to give me reasons why it could have been a mix up by telling me that have several phones that employees use and they may have not got the info right? I informed him that I spoke to someone at that location, I even confirmed it with the gentlemen that I spoke with. I took a day off to get this done and it was a waste of my time. The "manager had a I don't give a sh#*attitude. I asked for a credit. The company proceeded to text me that they were the largest tattoo company in the world, why? i guess to brag and not take serious a "nobody's" time. Don't waste your time for a unorganized and unprofessional " tattoo shop"

Where are the ushers? We went to the Lakers vs Warriors game on 3/6 but our view of the game was consistently obstructed by people walking into our section for photo opts. This happened throughout the game, even up to the last minute. I think the Lakers won but not sure since I couldn’t see the court. This is the only venue I’ve been at that didn’t have ushers and security who prevented this from happening.

Went here to watch an NBA game with 3 friends. We found it nearly impossible to even buy tickets to get in. Not sure if it had something to do with the Kobe memorial but it was so disorganised and horrible that we just about gave up. The centre itself looks nice and is well maintained with great sound and lighting. Confusing on how to get to the top levels though, seats were very cramped and drink/food prices are OUTRAGEOUS!! Robbery really. Not sure how they get away with it. This could be an amazing centre but there were so many downfalls with the experience.

Since Crypto.com took over this place is going downhill. I go to basketball games mainly. They let people vape in here, and there are no longer ushers in every section. For clippers games 2022-2023 season they now shine bright LED lights into the 300 level sections. So the whole game we had lights in our face and it hurt to try to see the court. It's like 10x brighter than Lakers games, maybe more.

Went to a Kings game and the experience was good. Love the outside grounds with all of the various athlete statues. Inside the view had no obstructions and seating seemed larger than most places. Cost for food and drinks are typical arena prices and there were a lot of choices. Parking is a bit of challenge if you are not familiar with the area.

This place is well worth a visit even if it is closed or you do not have a ticket to whatever is going on inside. The Center is designed to welcome visitors. The statues/ photo-ops are excellent. There is even a statue of a broadcaster at a desk with an extra chair for you to pose in. Of course, the Center had me with the Gretzky statue. The Kobe memorial was poignant. Plenty of nearby restaurants/ touristy things to do.

First time at a NBA game (Lakers vs Pelicans) and it was bloody unreal! The atmosphere is crazy and I’ve never witnessed anything like it. Was very lucky to get affordable tickets near the Lakers tunnel. If a NBA game isn’t on your bucket list, I’d recommend adding it!!
