Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.

Fun little adventure and great views of LA
If you are in DTLA and want to do something that can include kids, be a date night, or kick off a night out, I highly recommend visiting OUE skyspace in the afternoon. Kids & adults can enjoy the slide down on the side of the building and the wonderful views of the city that span all the way to the ocean. If it's a date night, you can package the slide and entrance tickets with a small snack and a bottle of wine for $75. There are other bites and non-alcoholic options as well. Best view of LA by far!
Hello Zoely B, Thank you for your recent visit to OUE-Skyspace LA and for taking the time to post your experience here on Trip Advisor! We are ecstatic to see that your were able to enjoy the beautiful 360 views our attraction has to offer and that Skyspace was able to partake in your memorable experience! In closing, we can't wait for you to visit us again the next time you are in the Downtown Los Angeles area. With Appreciation, the OUE-Skyspace Team

    Glass slide FTW
Another of those skyscrapers observation tower kind of place with a high level (Level 70 for this one) bird’s-eye view of the city. Nothing new for major cities I guess. Everyone needs a tall building to look out from/to show off the city from above. After ticketing and security checks, the lift first goes up to Level 54, where there’s a brief history and recap of all things LA. Including a red carpet mock up with flashing cameras, mini recording studio and touch screen Graffiti wall. Then at the end of the exhibit, there’s another lift that brings you to Level 70. This is where the true highlight of this Tower lies. A slide made entirely of glass, on the exterior of the building! With the City below you. Highly recommended! Entry to the Tower is USD25, and the ride on the slide is another USD8. You also pay a USD1 processing fee when you purchase your ticket over the counter onsite. An hour is more than enough to cover this place unless you are into non-stop selfies and neverending photos.

That glass slide hangs over seventy stories...
By the time you reach the top of the seventy story SkySpace Tower you reach the Reinforced Glass Slide. The staff reassure you that if it were to break - which I’m sure is entirely near impossible - you would only fall one story. But you only realise that it doesn’t feel like that until you are hurtling down this slide which surely is the only way to travel if you run a South Korean Horror Film Studio. It felt like I had gone back in the closet and accepted a marriage proposal from the girl in ‘The Ring’ whom the audience collectively willed (just for me) to be sealed to permanent damnation down the stone well in Tom Hank’s back garden (We love you Tom!). I only wish I could have posted the video which records my iPhone slamming into the wall of the slide half way down and landing on my ass as I hit the crash mat at the bottom! It’s exhilarating and if I had known about it: I might never have done it. But I’m glad I did! I love you SkySpace!
Hello Jassimalkanani, Thank you for your recent visit to OUE Skyspace LA and for taking the time to post on TripAdvisor! We are glad to hear that your visit to our attraction was an amazing experience. The views are incredible and our slide gives an unique experience sliding from one floor to the other 1,000 feet above the heart of downtown Los Angeles. In closing, we hope you visit us again the next time you are in the L.A. area. With appreciation, the OUE-Skyspace Team

We purchased the Valentine’s Day specials or 9pm because that was a a lot on their website. We get there and couldn’t find parking, called them to get directions to parking and the attendant very vaguely said under the library. We’re from Dallas, tx we had no idea where the library is. We googled it, but because of all the construction it was hard to notice. It took us 15 mins to find parking. Finally, we arrived and checked in. After taking all the turns and curves and elevators to get to the top floor with main attractions. We were informed the slide was closed. It closes at 9. I was highly upset that we even had the option of purchasing this time since it closes at 9. The cheese and cracker platter was mini sized. And on top of that after being there for 15mins running around trying to figure out what we paid for, they started pushing everyone out because they were closing at 10. I took my complaint to the manager who said he would offer a full refund. Okay, great. We go down to customer service and they lady has a full attitude with me saying we can’t get a full refund because we checked in and we were up there “some time”. Some one came down and informed here we get a full refund. She issued the refund after all the attitude. Cool. After a week I never received refund, I called asking about and gave my refund receipt confirmation number. She read a name that was not mine and said ThTs who the refund was issued to and she would have to find out who was the manager that said we could get refund before giving another. She eventually emails me saying that he was only offfering a slide refund of $16. When ThTs not what I was told there. The entire experience was absolutely terrible for $78. I really wanted to love this place but I would not recommend because service is terrible and it’s obvious they don’t care about customer experience and only want money. I would never go back. Me and my honey last night of vacation was ruined

When I bought my tickets online they stated: General Admission Ticket
A ride on the all-glass Skyslide
One Drink at the Skyspace Bar
Viewfinder Brochure
$5 off a purchase of $25 or more in the Skyspace Gift Shop
$5 off a Memory Maker Photo Package provided by Hot Shots

However when I went to the gift shop they said I had no discount and the same think happened with the photo package. I also thought that there would be multiple slides from the way that the tickets I bought made it sound and even if there wasn't I was told that I could get one ride on the slide, so it wasn't what I thought I was paying for at all. I feel like for the amount of money that I spent ($86)it was not worth it and I am very disappointed.

Both times i have come to Skyspace have been pretty horrific as, both times, private parties were going on. The space was packed with annoying people that acted like they owned the place. It was ridiculously loud and it was so packed that it was difficult to even make it to the outside decks, and the slide too forever ro get to. Not to mention that literally EVERYONE that works here just seeks pissed off that they have to pay attention to you at all. They all seem angry to have to work.
I don't think i will even attempt another visit. This space should EITHER be used for private events OR for paid visitors, but not both.

We arrived at OUE Skyspace in the evening excited to see the city lights. The customer service staff was excellent in accommodating our change of date (we had reserved a time for the next day). They were also courteous on the phone.
The space has a lounge/bar feel to it with a restaurant and bar available. There is a DJ and an interactive LA trivia experience on your way up to the top. We did not experience a large wait time.
I only rate it 3 stars because: 1. I do think that it could be made better for all ages to enjoy; 2. There was plenty of trash left on the table that was left unattended, and; 3. They need more lights to illuminate the outside space during the evening (especially for the wings photo opps - which were incredibly popular). However, if you are looking to go somewhere as a couple, there are plenty of niches to get comfy and enjoy the evening.

There is a lot of history in this museum. I found it interesting and informative. If you are interested in doing the Skyslide, it being called a "thrill ride" is so misleading. Before you can even blink it's over. The thrill is in the idea of sliding through a clear tube on the outside of a building. But you will get a great picture out of it.

Very cool experience overall. Great views. We did the Sit and Sip deal which included a slide for 2, a bottle of wine and a cheese/fruit tray. Romantic and beautiful. We spent 2 hours here and watched the sun set over the pacific. We were lucky and it was a clear day. We could even see Catalina!

We really enjoyed our visit to Skyspace. Great view, the slide is interesting as well although I would recommend to provide 2 slides in price of one. First time you don't pay attention to the view...
I recommend to visit.

What a disappointment! I cannot believe how unorganized this whole operation is. The staff is extremely rude, nobody knows what kind of tickets to sell, they send you to buy tickets upstairs for the sky slide, and then upstairs they ask why you didn’t purchase tickets for the slide, downstairs. The washrooms were out of order. The view from upstairs is ok, but north worth the huge lineups for the tickets, then more lineups for the elevators, then more lineups for the sky slide. Don’t even get me started on the long wait for 10 second sky slide ride - do NOT blink, because if you accidentally blink you miss the entire ride down the slide. I noticed multiple people in front of us waiting for the slide were completely drunk - you would have to be drunk to enjoy this terrible tourist trap. And if you go at night watch out for the furniture because our shins were bruised from bumping into the horrible stools in the poorly lit area.

Was disappointed that I was not able to ride the slide today. As after booking online on the same day and paying when we arrived we were told that de to the weather we were not able to ride the slide today. We did get a refund. However would have preferred they put on their website that the slide was closed today or at least that it could close depending on the weather.

Observation Deck being both indoor and outdoor with places to sit and enjoy the setting from latter was unique and nice feature. Identification of various sites helped to view them while on the deck. Access was quick and easy despite having to go through airport like security.
