Definitely a fun place to visit in LA, as well as a historical icon (built in the 1930s)- even mentioned in a Beach Boys song! I visited a few times over the years - most recently in late September for the #localadventurechallenge. It’s got plenty of parking, but they charge (not too much though - less than $10). It’s also right next to The Grove so make a day of it! There’s tons of food stalls, produce stalls, crepes, knick knacks and bric-a-brac, tourist shops and even a French themed cooking and grocery store (I must come back and check that out!). There are even some art pieces scattered around! And lots of seating and tables for eating! And any kind of food you could possibly want, all in one location! It’s great fun! It can get pretty crowded but it’s an open air market so it’s not bad. It’s open every day as well.

Of all my trips to Los Angeles this is my first time stopping at the Farmers Market. This is a hidden gem. There is a lot of food places in here. It took me a while to decide. There are many rows of food places to choose from. I will definitely be returning here on my next trip to LA.

We stopped at the Farmers Market to stretch our legs with some walking. I had been here many years ago and was surprised at how it has been developed since that last visit. There are a slew of places to eat and do some fine shopping at many high end stores. Some parts of the market are covered which helps during hot weather. We did stop for lunch and kept it simple by just having some Pizza. The place is loaded with Restaurants, Candy Stores, and almost everthing else. The Bell Tower is a nice attraction to watch at the top of the hour; the figurines move as though they are striking the bell. I highly recommend a visit, you will enjoy the time spent. I hope you find this review helpful in making your next travel & entertainment plans.

Lots of different cuisine choices for lunch. I recommend the Argentine barbecue. Expect to que because it's popular. Large shopping mall with restaurants as well. Allow half a day. Combine with a visit to the Petersen museum which is close by.
