We took a tour of Bel Air and nearly lost our lives. I was afraid at every curve for the safety of our children. This is a terrible place to bike, especially with families who are not familiar with the area. It is hilly with many blind curves. There are NO OTHER bikers or walkers in Bel Air so the... More

Definitely recommend the hike! We are a family of 5 and wanted to see the Hollywood sign, I booked the sunset hike but was not very sure what we had signed up for. The hike was beautiful and we were lucky to get an amazing guide, Elsa. She taught us a lot about the city in general, about the park,... More

Overall, it was a nice trip but it was a really long bike ride. Don't go if you are not in good shape to pedal some fairly big hills in Beverly Hills and Bel Air. The tour guide was very nice but my family thought he spent way too much time at the Greystone Mansion. We could have covered that... More

Me and some friends did the Sunset Hike and it was the best part of our stay in Los Angeles! Our guide Eric was just amazing and super interactive which made the hike super fun and easy-going. The sunset over the city was just amazingly beautiful. I can just recommend the Sunset Hike and Eric as your guide!!!

I live here so every time I see those tour buses going around with people who looked bored out of their mind. It's the complete opposite with Bikes And Hikes - these guys will show you LA in a way that no one else will be able to. Definitely a must-do.

I took the LA in a Day tour, and absolutely loved it. I'd been living in LA for a couple years, but nevertheless learned a lot about the history, geography and neighborhoods of the city! Getting around on bikes was not a traffic nightmare; I felt very safe and in addition got a great workout. Definitely worth the price!

Bikes and Hikes is an awesome way to Discover LA - the tour guides are both interactive and informative, making the rides a great adventure. They are more personal than bus tours, allowing you to get up close with many of LA's best attractions/hidden gems. I will definitely do another tour again soon!

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
