This was my second LA Adventure Tour and it didn't disappoint. Our guide Brooke was knowledgeable, funny, and took great care in not only the stories she shared, but the enthusiasm in which she told them. I particularly liked going to Musso & Frank's. The maitre d' and Brooke regaled us with some wonderful stories of the restaurant's history from... More

Firstly, if you are taking this tour, do remember to keep yourself geared up for a long sunny day(if it's in the summer). Our guide was a super friendly guy named Youssef Iferd. He was a super friendly and a patient guy who took us to every place. We had a lot of fun chatting with him throughout the tour.... More

Brooke took us on a wonderfully informative and tasting walking and bus-riding Saturday afternoon adventure through Korea Town, Thai Town, and Little Armenia. She was warm and engaging, delightfully personal and well informed. I learned a lot about this corner of L.A.'s history and absolutely loved walking through neighborhoods with a local. Ethnic Neighborhoods Food & Culture was the highlight... More

A friend and I wanted to explore LA, being first timers to California, so the LA Getaway was suggested to us by our travel agent. Summer was our tour guide and couldn't have asked for a better one! Along with the tourist sights we wanted to see, she took us to an amazing community garden and farmer's market we would... More

Sabrina was our tour guide and she was exactly the type of street wise local guide that you need as a tourist! Really knowledgeable about this huge and diverse city and knowing exactly where to go to make the most of a limited time in LA. Recommended!

Staying in Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
Hollywood
Hollywood undoubtedly conjures up images of movie stars and high-end lifestyles, and to this day, tourists flock here from around the world to see the iconic Hollywood Walk of Fame, Chinese Theatre and to catch a glimpse of the famed Hollywood sign up close. Celebrity impersonators and crowds give these areas the feeling of an amusement park while many clubs and hotels fill up around the weekends for late-night partying - the Hollywood club scene is a haven for thumping music and table-side bottle service. But parties aren’t the only way to enjoy this area, many visitors come to the neighborhood to sit back with a picnic to watch a performance at the Hollywood Bowl and those looking to stay fit trek along nature trails in the Hollywood hills and in Griffith Park.
