I visit Los Angeles and Beverly Hills (from San Diego) several times a year and we like to shop in nice areas. I was initially impressed when I parked at the ChargePoint EV station (screen read $0.00 for the first 4 hours). I was happy and we thought we'd come back here for dinner over the next week that we're in town. I received a follow-up text message to confirm free charging. After shopping and unplugging the car from the charger, I learnt that they had charged $0.50 per kWh. I called ChargePoint and was told that the cost was more expensive than Tesla superchargers....something like $6-7 per hour. FALSE advertising! Needless to say, I will refrain from returning. If I do, I won't be using the charging stations.
But I think the business should consider not being too greedy with electricity and parking. This service should act as a means of bringing guests in. Taking this money from chargers misleadingly doesn't early loyalty.

I have just been shopping at the Beverly Center. While at H&M I noticed a man who was talking to himself and acting strangely. I made a mental note of it and went on my way. Later in the same store he accosted me and threatened me for ‘following him’ and said he would “f*#k me up” He was clearly unsettled and of course I was not following him but trying to stay away from him. At check-out I asked if security was around and was told no. I found security and told them about him. I then went on my way feeling shaken. I went to Bloomingdale’s men’s store and there he was coming at me and muttering threats under his breath. I notified the people working there to call security but they were not up to date on this person’s behavior. I left Bloomingdale’s and left the Beverly center and will not be back soon as I very much feel unsafe there. This man was obviously not well and singled me out and nothing was done about it. Is this the new normal at the Beverly Center?

What a disappoint this shopping centre was, it had no soul at all. There was next to none food options. The numerous expensive shops were very ordinary. We stayed at the Sofitel across the road and we were very disappointed with this shopping centre experience. And for most of the time the centre seems empty of shoppers.

The mall is nice, but in many ways only the name and location give it an added special touch. I enjoyed shopping at Bloomingdales, and bought a few items.

The mall is nice, but you have to pay for parking, although not overly expensive. Not to my liking. I prefer the larger malls, such as South Coast Plaza.

What a place
What a clean place
You can find all the shops you need
You can eat or drink coffee
You can park your car with a small amount of money
Like a dollar for an hour the first hour and then a dollar and a half for every hour

Beverly Center consists of two windowless levels of shops on top of a five-level parking garage. Mall security creates an atmosphere similar to that of the shopping area in an airport terminal. On a recent visit to Beverly Center I was harassed repeatedly by security guards for doing nothing more than writing some personal travel notes. LA is loaded with malls and shopping districts (The Grove, Westfield Century City,Montana Avenue, Robertson Boulevard to name but a few) that are worth your time and money. Beverly Center is not one of them.

Hi Alan, I am sorry for your experience and if you haven't returned to see how much Beverly Center has changed since your last visit, please know that since 2016, Beverly Center has been under a $500 million renovation to bring our shoppers new stores, new restaurants (Cal Mare, Eggslut, Farmhouse and, in April, Yard Bird!) and new views (check out level 6’s window-scape)!
Our renovation will be completed by Holiday 2018, though all stores are open now. We hope to see you again.

We spent a few hours circling the mall and found some great shopping, but there are a lot of main stream shops missing from this place, considering the size, I would have thought it could have had more variety. No real bargains to be had, but that isn't what this shopping centre is all about. This was our high end shopping day and it was the right place for that.

The Beverly Centre is on La Cienega Drive in Beverly Hills LA, off Wilshire. Easily accessible by bus or car it has two sections. The Beverly Centre has all the big name brands at normal retail prices while across the road there is the hidden gem!! This contains Nordstroms Rack,Marshalls,TJ Max Ross and Target. TJ Max has high end brands at fantasic prices..Michael Kors bags from $120.00 Ralph Lauren,Kate Spade Calvin Klein you name it also homewares and jewellery.Nordstroms Rack has their last season stock at super cheap prices, Marshalls slightly less expensive brands..loads of baby stuff..and shoes..and Ross well Theyre OK. Target is great and also has a supermarket in it. I wouldnt bother with the big outlet malls after going here. There is also a couple of eateries..One is nice cafe style with fast service and great food the other is a all you can eat soup salad pasta and desert bar..For two of us it was $30 with drinks..fresh,tasty well cooked and nice staff. There is free wifi in the centre clean toilets. I bought North Face jackets for $90.00 Opi nailpolish $6.00 for a 2 pack,Ralph Lauren and Juicy Couture outfits for my 2yo grandchild @ $20 each, carry on luggage for $40 a bag...needed them for the excess. Definitely worth going to spend spend spend

The Bev Center is a Taubman Property and like all Taubman properties its a schlock suburban hell. Its ugly, boring and a total scourge on LA. The shops carry less merchandise than their street-side stores in other areas of town, everything sold in the mall stores is marked up at least 30%, the food is horrible and the security guards have a John Wayne complex when they approach in groups of five or more.
I grew up in LA and I know this town better than any other town on earth and I promise you a horrible experience at the Bev Center. Get outside and see the real LA, save some money, and enjoy better, fresher foods.

Hi WorldWestVirginia, I understand your frustration, but so much has changed since you left this review!
We started a massive $500 million renovation in 2016 that is bringing new stores, new restaurants and new views to Beverly Center and am happy to report that we will be finished this Holiday season!
In addition to the popular fast-casual restaurant Eggslut on level one and the new street-level full-service restaurants (both of which have full-service bars) Cal Mare and Farmhouse - and Yardbird, which is opening in April - next year, we will have a social food hall on Level 8 where families can stop for a quick bite.
We hope you will visit again post-renovation and give us another try.

Hi APSHAHYNB, Yes, a food hall is in the works! The Street, by Chef Michael Mina's curated food hall, will contain somewhere north of a dozen disparate concepts in a casual, almost hawker market-style environment. There will be the usual assortment of ramen spots and poke, but expect a lean towards healthier options overall.
The eighth-floor dining space should have some pretty strong views looking out towards Downtown LA. There will be outdoor balcony seating too!
