- BobandMargie GLong Beach, California101 contributionsUniversal studiosWent midweek, traffic was what expected, terrible, rip off parking, $28 general to $50 upfront. Park was reasonably accessible, rode some old rides, some new. Harry Potter was kool, some lines long, some ok, lots of opportunity to spend money.Visited February 2020Traveled with familyWritten February 27, 2020
- MomofboysRomulus, Michigan34 contributionsFun place to walk aroundMany different stores to check out! Of course The Dodgers Clubhouse had a really long line! Everyone is social distancing. Security is making sure everyone's mask is on properly. Lots of different kinds of food places to eat. The wait times are around 45 minsVisited November 2020Traveled with familyWritten November 7, 2020
- JamesLos Angeles, California22 contributionsTouristy, but still charmingA busy promenade full of stores, and you pay for the experience of being so close to Universal Studios. It’s a fun place to explore in the evening time especially, if you’re okay with crowds. The stores are your classic mix of touristy and LA centric souvenirs, as well as playing off the Hollywood aspect. It was a nice time walking around, going to the arcade, and hearing some talented street performers.Visited September 2021Traveled with friendsWritten October 16, 2021
- Derek M54 contributionsRestrictions that make no sense!STAY AWAY! Went to Universal Citywalk today (Sept 17). Parking was free BUT the trick to force you to buy a mask is not! I was refused entry by security at the temperature check because my mask that I wear is a “filter” mask. The security guard refused my entry to the outside mall unless I purchased one of their masks for $7.00! Really? Are you kidding? My mask is a high grade mask with 3 levels of filtration fitted to my mouth and nose. It has a changeable filter inside. My make is SAFER than the disposable mask the security guard was wearing. When I pointed this out to him (politely) he said he could call his supervisor to explain to me why my mask wasn’t good. He said I could leave or buy a mask for $7. Needless to say I was NOT turned away by the parking attendant! Nope! I was given free parking, drove around looking for space and the parked walked all the way to security and was told I could not come in. Waste of time and universal lost the money I was going to spend on lunch and the stores. I went off citywalk spent money at a local eatery and local comic book shop. Universal has always been foolish but to act like my mask wasn’t safe is pathetic! We already have a hard enough time each as citizens following rules but when my mask is safer then their security but I’m refused entry???? Guess I won’t be going back to universal any time soon!Visited September 2020Traveled with familyWritten September 17, 2020
- KevinLos Angeles, California17 contributionsAntojitos at CityWalkCitywalk is a very popular destination for both visitors to Los Angeles and locals in L.A. and the Valley. It is a great place to people watch and shop. Until recently, there hasn't been a good choice for authentic Mexican food. The atmosphere is really nice with artwork of all kinds all around. There is also live music on the patio. Most of all . . . the food and drinks are worth the money, as it is a bit pricy as a tourist location. If you find yourself at CityWalk, check out Antojitos for sure. It's a good idea to make a reservation.Visited December 2019Written January 5, 2020
- dhw1719 contributionsExcellent customer service at Universal Studios City Walk StoreWe went to Universal Studio Store City Walk on our last day to buy our daughter a Harry Potter Book which we saw the day before in the parks store. I would like to say a big thank you to Luis for arranging for this book to be bought by a colleague from inside Universal Studios Park store as City Walk store didn't stock it. Our Daughter is very pleased with her book. Excellent customer service definitely recommend.Visited July 2023Written July 18, 2023
- ReedOrlando, Florida1,435 contributionsWhy does it close so early?!Universal Citywalk in Hollywood is a bit of a disappointment if you are used to visiting its counterpart in Orlando. I stayed at the Hilton just next door and we were excited to be able to walk over for some dinner options. Unfortunately we realized very quickly that it is a ghost town once the park closes and many locations close earlier than their posted operating hours once they don’t have any more business. There were also no visible employees around to ask for help, just some 3rd party security company folks who knew nothing about the property they were working on. While it looks pretty, the limited offerings and operating hours don’t make it a place I would go out of my way to visit in the future.Visited October 2021Traveled as a coupleWritten January 28, 2022

The chips and salsa were good, although we waited 15 minutes for them.
Sat hear with empty glasses , absolutely no one asked us if we wanted another cocktail. Kerry was the bartender, and she sucks .
It was so bad, the manager comped our drinks !!!

This is Universal Studios Hollywood's equivalent of Downtown Disney for Disneyland. I do think it is a little it bigger though and there are more varieties of shops. We were pleased to see a Voodoo Donuts shop; we did not know there was a location outside of Portland, OR.
After a day at Universal Studios, we took a slow stroll through CityWalk before heading to where we parked. We didn't get anything but we did go into a few stores.

We came here before and after Universal Studios visit (on 2 days). The kids loved the water fountain that squirts water up in the air (and running across it to dodge the water). The dragon and wings are good photo opportunities. The sweet shop (you really don't want to go in there - you might never leave) and the numerous restaurants. If you park in the parking lot suggest using the Universal App to remember where you parked your car.

Depends, if the individual needs a wheelchair they may or may not have them readily available or if they need an all day assistant, they do not have one. There are readily accessible gates, rails, and walk ways.

If you are thinking of coming to LA for a visit, don't. We are shut down. Markets, banks, and a few other essential stores are open. All movie houses, concerts, theme parks etc. are closed.
