Founded in 2009, Six Taste is the largest and highest-rated food tour company in Los Angeles. Homegrown and family-owned, Six Taste supports local businesses and enriches the L.A. community through food and education. Six Taste tour guides lead historical and cultural walking food tours through different neighborhoods of Los Angeles, particularly Downtown LA, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Arts District, Sawtelle Japantown, Little Tokyo, Koreatown, San Gabriel Valley Chinatown, Persian Square, Glendale, and Thai Town, that feature generous samples of diverse dishes from 4-7 restaurants. I've done a a couple of tours with Six taste and I love them! Sally and Brian were fantastic entertainers and professionals. Very well organized. We loved discovering the insides of the Arts district streets while enjoying delicious food with friends. I totally recommend this experience to anyone that is curious and looking for something different to do in LA. I also recommend to do it earlier in the evening and during the week (if possible) as I've done one on Sat and the other one on Monday and there is definitively a difference in terms of how crowded the places can get.
I'm looking forward to do all of the other tours that they offer :)

I’ve been a Six Taste customer and fan since they first opened. Over the years I’ve taken most of their tours, taken my family on several tours, and recommended them dozens of times. They never fail to impress. Today, they did a phenomenal job conducting a virtual food tour of Little Tokyo for our ad agency. Sally provided color commentary about the food, history and culture while husband Jonathan handled the technology. The event was one of our programs in support of AAPI Heritage month, and we couldn’t be more pleased.
If you’ve never taken a Six Taste tour, you’re missing out. This local, family-run business does a phenomenal job - and they are now back to conducting private tours! You’ll finish your tour happy, educated and full of delicious food. Check them out.

As an AAPI-owned business, we were incredibly honored and excited to showcase our Japanese cultural food tour for your team. We did a private group tour of DTLA with Nancy and it was everything we hoped for. Nancy was super friendly, had great stories about the area we were walking around in and was sure to not only point out anything that may be of interest but also answer all of our questions and make recommendations as well. I really feel like folks in our group were able to connect with her.
The food was great! We had been to some of the spots before but without the knowledge Nancy shared about the restaurants and history, it was like we were seeing them for the first time. The tastes were great - a wide variety and everything was tasty AF.
We will 10/10 recommend and 10/10 book a follow up tour with Nancy for KTown and Six Tastes for their other locations. Well thought out and well executed, you won't be sorry if you book.

The tour exceeded my expectations! The food was amazing and the sights they took us to were so unique. I learned so much about LA architecture and history. The food was center stage, but the little diversions were a nice way to walk off a bit of the calories so that we could eat more!
I grew up in LA and moved to NYC several years ago and was visiting for the holiday break. In NYC, we are quite spoiled. The food is top notch and there is an ever evolving culinary scene, so my bar is quite high. Yet, Six Taste still managed to exceed my expectations.
They took us to Grand Central Market which is a very cool industrial looking food hall with some amazing eats. Very culturally diverse. We had Thai and El Salvadorian pupusa. Our guide also recommended the Filipino pie from Sari Sari which was to die for! We then had Italian at a very elegant spot where we sampled 2 types of pastas. Also spectacular, which is saying a lot since I live in NYC. I was skeptical initially. We then had the opportunity to sample 2 types of tacos at a local eatery. They weren't your run-of-the-mill variety. They clearly were a labor of love. We then finished with macarons from a beautifully elegant spot. The portions were perfect. They were small enough that you felt you could sample everything, but also filling enough that I walked away feeling very full. I also loved the mix of casual and luxury establishments. Six Taste clearly knew where to find the hidden gems.
I also loved how our guide sprinkled in some interesting facts about LA history and took us to see very cool spots in LA with amazing architecture. I grew up in LA and had no idea LA had such amazing gems! The bookstore is also super cool. Had a Harry Potter Bohemian vibe that felt more like an attraction than a bookstore. Definitely must visit.
Just be aware that Downtown LA is a bit grungy so if that is not something you or your group feels comfortable with, I would suggest one of their other tours. But you will miss out on the cool architecture and sights.

This past Friday, my team and I had the privilege of experiencing the Arts District of Los Angeles in the most engaging way possible—through a Sixtaste Food Tour hosted by Sally. From start to finish, the tour was a feast for the senses!
Sally went above and beyond to show us the hidden gems of the Arts District. We indulged in delectable eats off the beaten path, dishes that we would never have discovered otherwise. Each stop was an exploration of culinary excellence, and the food was simply out of this world.
But this tour was more than just about food. Sally enriched our journey with interesting history tidbits about the Arts District. Each fact and story she shared added layers of appreciation for the neighborhood we were exploring.
As for photo ops, our Instagram game is now on a new level. Sally knew all the visually stunning spots, from murals to architectural wonders, making the tour enjoyable not just for our palates but also for our cameras.
It was not only a delightful experience but also an incredibly successful team-building event for us. The memories we made and the tastes we shared have bonded us in ways that a regular team meeting could never do.
We're already talking about when we can do this again. Sally, thank you for a phenomenal day; your passion and knowledge were impressive. We highly recommend Sixtaste Food Tours to anyone looking for an unforgettable LA experience.

I did this food tour in Santa Monica as a work team building activity. We thought it'd be more interactive than a dinner and I'm so glad we decided to go with Six Taste! Sally was a wonderful tour guide and her recommendations were stellar. I highly recommend for a team building activity as well as if you are a foodie and want to explore some cool food spots.

Six Taste food tours are so fun! We’ve done both the Downtown LA (pre Covid) and the Arts District tours, and we had two amazing times! Both tours offer an awesome array of food, and we were completely stuffed by the end. The best part is that we got to try food that we would have never ordered at a restaurant, and now we know that we like food off the beaten path. Sally, our tour guide and one of the owners, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about the area, and we keep using a bunch of the facts we learned from her to impress our friends and family. Such a a cool way to explore the city!

Last week I joined a group of friends for the amazing DTLA Artists/food tour. Our guide Sally was so knowledgeable about the area. She told us about the history of these buildings and what was their use and now they are Artists lofts. And the food was truly out of this world! I would recommend this tour to anyone. Thanks Sally.

Our organization was guided by Six Taste for a food tour of DTLA. More than half of our group are lifelong residents of LA (as well as food lovers!), and everyone had a great time and learned something new! Food was delicious, portions were generous, and Nancy brought a unique lens and history of our stops/city that made for a great team bonding and learning activity. Thanks to Sally, who worked with us to very quickly set this event up as part of our staff retreat, Nancy, and the Six Taste team, we had an awesome day. I suspect a few of us will be reaching back out to Six Taste to coordinate our own tours when family come in from out of town!

I love Six Taste! This is the sixth time I have been on a food tour with them and the fourth area that we have toured. The food is always delicious and I love eating at the unique restaurants while learning about different parts of the city! When relatives come to visit or for special occasions, Six Taste has been the perfect way for us to spend an afternoon together in LA! This time my sister and I took our college age children as a special winter holiday gift. The kids loved learning about Koreatown, tasting the different kinds of foods, and spending time together walking the city! Nancy, our tour guide, was wonderful and we had the most perfect day!
