Founded in 2009, Six Taste is the largest and highest-rated food tour company in Los Angeles. Homegrown and family-owned, Six Taste supports local businesses and enriches the L.A. community through food and education. Six Taste tour guides lead historical and cultural walking food tours through different neighborhoods of Los Angeles, particularly Downtown LA, Hollywood, Santa Monica, Arts District, Sawtelle Japantown, Little Tokyo, and Thai Town, that feature generous samples of diverse dishes from 4-7 restaurants. CEO Sally Tiongco is a proud LA native, UCLA alumna, and a former devoted LA public school educator who resides in Downtown LA and the San Fernando Valley with her husband and two children. “LA is our home, and the Six Taste team inspires others to feel the same way, several bites at a time.”

Hosted a private group of 8, ranging in age from 30 to 90, to celebrate a milestone 30th birthday. Our informative and fun guide, Brian, led us on an amazing food journey that promised to not only feed us, but guaranteed we'd be stuffed, & he wasn't kidding. Although nearly everyone in our group was local, we all supremely enjoyed... More

We strolled along, being told wonderful tidbits of history of Little Tokyo, seeing the sights and culture. Our guide Brian, was well connected in the area and ensured we were taken care of. We went into restaurants and businesses to learn about their culinary offerings and the history of that item as well. Super cool way to spend the day... More

I have lived in the Los Angeles area my entire life (53) and this was my first time to Little Tokyo. I really enjoyed it and the guide was great! I would definitely consider going on another Six Taste Tour.

Very fun! Knowledgeable, funny, and delightful tour guide. Glad we were included in some small restaurants that aren't well known, but have new and delicious food. We brought my boyfriends parents with us that have lived in Los Angeles forever. A good time was had by all!

Our SixTaste tour was incredible! We loved our tour guide, Sally and her knowledge of downtown restaurants and historical points of interest. We definitely would do a Six Taste Tour again. The food was amazing and we had great company. We want to visit each and every restaurant on our own now!

This was a was a fun, informative, delicious afternoon spent with a great guide (Brian) and a fun group (6, not including the guide). We got the history of the area, and then had 6 entirely different food experiences. Brian was fun and knew a lot about each place. It is not an area that we would ever have tried... More

I was lucky enough to join my wife and her coworkers on a Six Taste tour of the LA arts district. Our tour guide was Sally from the Valley. She was very kind and personable. Sally knew a great deal about the history of LA and the local architecture. The restaurants on this tour were an easy walk from each... More

My daughter-in-law booked the Arts District tour for us during my recent visit to Los Angeles, and we were joined by two friends from out of town. She couldn’t have planned a more enjoyable way to spend a Saturday afternoon. We visited gems that we probably never would have discovered on our own, although my daughter-in-law grew up in LA.... Traveling a lot for work, I try to do food tours when I'm in cool areas of the country. I've done one in Seattle, WA; Washington, DC and now Los Angeles. This was hands down the best of the three, and it's not even a comparison. Sally is a tremendous guide, and her enthusiasm shines. As my fiancée and I... More

Had a terrific time on the Six taste Tour of the Arts District. Sally was unfailingly cheerful and knowledgeable, and the food was wonderful - I have lived in LA for a long time and have worked downtown most of that time, and I had never seen or eaten at any of the places we visited. Kudos to Six taste... More

Neighborhood Profile
Downtown
Downtown Los Angeles is a busy metropolis of towering buildings, bustling streets, and industrial warehouses. There is a distinct multiplicity of cultures here with a growing influx of business professionals and hipsters. Many call the evolution of Downtown over recent years gentrification. New lofts, bars, hotels and restaurants are popping up regularly. Downtown is home to some of the very best restaurants in the city leading the LA foodie scene, plus it is the location of cultural and sports venues including the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Staples Center, and the Coliseum at the University of Southern California.
